The tiny striker felt rather pleased.  A sense of ease and comfort with being matched with one who's likes well in-tune with her own.  A small basket she brought.  Elegantly woven with a warm lilac blanket cradling the contents.  Much too large an object to carry, another walked with her.  A reluctant request, but in eager silence she trekked with one of her own blood, teeth absently gnawing the inside of her cheeks.

Pale hues gleamed brightly as destination arrived.  A safe place they left the little basket, a note scrawled in jerky, child-like handwriting - very determined the child had insisted on writing the note herself, with great difficulty and many failed attempts - just legible enough to read;

A small, fluffy stuffed rabbit the color of periwinkle -- chosen by her father with the eyes to see -- sat atop two well-cherished books.  Particularly, The Chronicles of Narnia and Le Petite Prince -- copies of the first two the kitten had ever been read to and learned to read herself thanks to her uncle.

Satisfied that the gift ought to reach their intended, the two left, although Keona felt a little disappointed they could not stay longer.  The point of Secret Santa was to be... Secret, right?
