What tidings had the first morning of December brought? The temperatures had been dropping considerably in the city for a while now, but as the new month was reigned in overnight, so was a fresh blanket of snow. Sheets of white covered rooftops, sidewalks, streets, cars, and trees all around. It was as if fluffy, white paint had been dumped, drenching everything in its path.

As for August, the young adolescent boy had been very excited to see the early Christmas gift that had greeted him just outside the window of his home. For one, school had been cancelled for the day, but he could also go play out in the snow! He had slipped on his puffy coat as well as long pants and boots, and he quickly made for his front door. "Not so fast, August Gabriel." His mother warned as she walked over and proceeded to fit a blue beanie onto his head. "Don't leave the street, okay? And watch out for cars." With that, August quickly mumbled, "Uh huh." and rushed out the door.

His boots crunched on the snow, and August nearly tripped over himself from all of the excitement. The brunette boy couldn't help but grin, and he giddily ran out into his yard and towards the sidewalk. This was so cool! Now, the question was — how was he going to spend the snow day?

bells tolling loud and low, crackle of an open fire toasting the toes of those who drew life from it's depths, the sounds of merry hymns filling the stagnant air, it could only mean one thing - the holiday seasons was in full swing. with which it typically came accompanied with the appearance of snow, and the heavens had certainly opened up already on the town. from outside their frostbitten window venus could see the sights of freshly lain snow, completely untouched and free of footprints of excited children running through the white substance, taking some up just to mess with their friends. joyful the image seemed. venus pressed cold fingertips to the glass, breath causing condensation from the sheer proximity of the teenager's face to the window, in a moment of mirth the teen drew a smiley face in the glass before settling back to their closet. sapphire gaze taken by the appearance of a young adolescent boy in his over-sized jacket for a split second.

opening the doors to their closet, fingers slid across the multitudes of thick coats of varying colours as the teen tried to think of what the weather would be like today. would it start snowing when venus went outside? should they stay more warm, or bring something waterproof? huffing slightly, the teen settled for their woolen beige coat and prayed for a dry day today. it was best to look smart, the teen was adamant on dropping off resumes to a local pet shelter and wanted to set the most prestigious of first impressions to ensure their position in the open casual role.

setting off to make their way to the local shelter, venus' keys jingled in the chilly air only polluted by the sounds of traffic and children excited from the lack of school today. it was pleasant and set teh jolly atmosphere for a wondrous christmas, but it was also about to give venus a banging headache. best to just soldier through. pressing on, thick boots trudged through the stark snow like a mini plower with a mind and mission, the frozen sea having to make way for the teen and not the other way around. not a hare's breadth from their front door venus had encountered a problem. "А насрав його морді" who had left this half melted snowman for the ukranian teen to just step in casually? it had ruined the teen boots completely, soaking up the muddy waters like a sponge and emitting a horrid stench. merry seasons indeed.
