Sephiroth's paws were crusted with sand at this point, and they burned with effort. He supposed that should be taken a sign of his hard work, not a symptom of the fact that he clearly didn’t take very good care of himself when he became obsessed with a goal. Mother only commented once and while, mostly she remained silent and presumably observed everything with great interest. He could feel her presence constantly however, and he took pleasure and comfort in it.His framed head was lowered as he trudged onwards, leaving heavy pawprints in the grain behind him. Sephiroth’s eyes were narrowed and foreword, tired but not the same tired as before they left. Determined tired, a satisfying tired. Harsh tired, tired that still projected that if he was disturbed by violence he would respond in kind, and incredibly violently.
His enhanced senses caught something. A shift in the constant scent of sand, of dry wind and no water. Sephiroth’s gait picked up in speed, until the lion was cantering up a sand dune ahead of him and standing at the top. The breeze shifted his silver mane gently. He made quite the image from behind, pale and muscular and standing against the grayscale sky of desert winter, immaculate mane flowing and appearing quite majestic. Like an ancient sentinel, or a fearsome guardian of the land with eyes like an eagle and enough visible power to make quite the intimidating sight.
Land out stretched before him, and the Pharaoh stretched out his enhanced senses to catch ear of it all. It was a grand looking settlement, very similar in aesthetic to the ruins they had lived in before, but aboveground with clearer air and access to the sky. Small structures dotted the sand along the edge of what appeared to be the main hub, which was a cluster of pillars and homes and other buildings. As if it had been lived in before, a long time ago, and was now left behind for the Rosebloods to call home. He ears caught sound of the echoes of an underground, and he smelt a different scent even further ahead. Charred wood? But older, fainter, not like the choking smell of the burned jungle. There was water nearby too! It smelled fresh and clean, and Sephiroth longed to rush down the dune and through the city to find the source.
His expression gentled and lightened as he , and the lion looked over his pale shoulder to the Rosebloods that had followed his lead, had given him command. ”We’re here.” Sephiroth’s statement was simple, but his tone wasn’t as low and dull as it usually was. There was the tiniest bit of hope in it, as if the discovery had lifted a weight off of his shoulders and mind. Certainly the far opposite of how he spoke weeks ago. It felt nice.
(guide will be updated tomorrow with a new description!!! Feel free to make threads exploring the territory!)
[align=center]Sephiroth is a large male lion with a pale, almost white body and a silver mane. He has blue green eyes with slit pupils. He is the Pharaoh of the Rosebloods. He is currently unstable and volatile, hearing a voice called Mother in his head and is believing himself to be a god. He has enhanced senses, conjuration, and mental manipulation and communication, and is hard to fight in battle. He is based on the character of the same name from Final Fantasy VII.
