Still even though he couldn’t find anything to do during the day there seemed to be just about the same during the night. Just...quieter. A restless settled over the teen and he paused as he looked out toward the ocean, aware of his surroundings before he slowly looked down and before him was a sand dollar. His paw curved around the thing and he looked at it before twisting it one way and then the other. Would make for a nice good luck charm if anything else and he almost rolled his eyes at his own notion. Truly he had to be honest with himself. This was the first time he had ever seen the ocean before and he could admit that he didn’t find it as spectacular as others had described to him. A lot of things didn’t excite him or pump him up. Maybe something was wrong with him but he often shrugged off the thought just as he was doing now. Slowly he sat down and held the sand dollar as he watched the half moon in the sky and the many stars that illuminated the night sky.

He wasn’t supposed to be out either and he had already taken his recommended dosage of painkillers though they didn’t seem to be working as effectively as they should. It was the main reason he was out right now because he couldn’t sleep. Sneaking out of his room had made him feel like he was home again. The days spent dodging his parents so that he could actually go out and have fun. A part of him wondered that if he had listened to them would they still have kept him. Slowly he walked along the beach, ignoring much of the sounds around him. The waves were the loudest since he was so close to the ocean yet he could also pick up the sound of sand scrapping against his paw pads. A part of him wondered if he was freaking out a bit or hallucinating because of his lack of sleep. Probably both as he didn’t put it past his luck to have a double problem going on.Still even though he couldn’t find anything to do during the day there seemed to be just about the same during the night.
