To be honest, Bucky wasn't sure how effective a self defense session will be against raptors. Raptors are bigger than most of them, and they're fast- they can easily take a bite on any of them. Not only that, the raptors have tough skin that's hard to tear- it almost feels like your fate is sealed if you come across one. But despite all of that, having a self defense class can probably put some ease on some member's minds. They will feel protected, and they'll be able to use these skills against any type of predator: it doesn't just have to be a raptor. Plus, Bucky will tell them the chances of winning a fight against one, and what the smarter thing to do is.

The maine coon padded over to the fountain, his ear flicking as he sighed. This wasn't the best place for a self defense class. He'd rather have it in the territory, but who knows if those raptors are out there, somewhere. He's not risking all of their lives for the better terrain. This will have to do. "Sunhaven! Gather around for a self defense class!"

Bex, too, wasn't sure how likely it would be to survive a raptor attack. Those things were dangerous, and much more powerful than several other animals combined. But even so, the thought of self defense training was nice, and could be of use for other situations. Besides, Bex was still adjusting to the whole canine thing, and knew it would be best to learn how to defend herself if she were to ever get used to her life now. Not to mention that she had joined the warfare guild, and certainly needed the skills to contribute to that. "Sounds good to me," the collie stated as she bounded up to the fountain, seating herself near Bucky. She was curious about what sort of self defense techniques they'd learn during this session, but didn't ponder on that thought for too long. She'd find out soon enough.

Why not?  Personally, if she was asked, the petite sand cat did not think a raptor could kill her.  No.  She was rather confident she could live through a confrontation with one, no matter how feral.  Tena was small, agile, and it would be a matter of simply having some sand on her to blind the creatures.  Trip 'em with some wind... The Demdji was hardly defenseless.  Nonetheless, the fem was not against some training or practice.

A self-defense class would definitely benefit Gordon, regardless of whether or not the focus was on raptors. After all, the she-cat was tiny for her species (being half-Munchkin had its cons) and was too nervous for her own good. While she much rather flee than fight an attacker, it'd be better off for her own health to learn how to take care of herself should something happen. Gordon waddled over as quickly as she could upon hearing Buckingham's announcement, staring up at him.

The last thing Wendell wished to do was put harm on others. It was a sensation he despises. Pain. If he hated it so much, why smite the same thing unto another being? Yes, this was a self defence class, so it’s implying that you were being the one being attacked, and the mustelid understood that this was out of the recent raptor attacks and would ensure everybody’s safety. But come on. The wisest thing to do was capture one of those barmy lizards and keep them prisoner, and perchance put them out of their miserable lives. If they were feral, it wouldn’t hurt to kill them. They felt no remorse for killing, thus the same must be done for them.

He’d reluctantly approach. The only chance of survival out in Sunhaven’s territory nowadays was if you were with a buddy, and if you both held some knowledge of fighting. "I’m he’e!"

He never thought that they would need self defense classes against raptors. Who on this planet would have thought something like that? If someone had told him that this would happen he would have most likely slapped them with water because it made no sense. But he guessed life had a way of becoming really chaotic really fast. The raptors had attacked them and killed Sunhaveners so he had to make sure that his group was safe from them. Bucky was the right guy for the job as he had a feeling that he had good knowledge in self defense. He was appreciative of him holding this training for everyone. Slowly the male made his way forward, eyes shifting over the group that had decided to also attend. The male knew that powers had an adverse effect on the raptors so he understood that if they had powers they should use it against them. "I'm here tae learn." The Helion spoke with a tense voice, straightening his shoulders and making himself appear like a soldier ready for commands. He could do this.
