Buckingham is a a large, tabby maine coon who stands at 16 inches and is 3.3ft long(nose to tail), he weighs around 18 pounds. Buckingham has long, fluffy fur- that without a doubt, make him look much large than he is. Most of his fur is covered in chestnut brown- besides the insides of his ears, muzzle, chin, belly, paw socks, chest, under tail, and tail tip. Those mentioned are a light creamed colored. Buckingham also has a darker shade of chestnut brown that consist of stripes- these stripes run down his back and his tail. With the same dark chestnut brown color, Bucky's cheeks are much fluffier in volume, and his ear tufts is this shade as well. The sclera of his eyes are a striking light blue, while his pupils are a darker shade. And finally, Bucky is missing his entire front left leg. In replace of it is a metal prosthetic limb- which is screwed in by bolts and even have metal claws attached to it. These metal claws are darker than the rest of the limb, and are usually Buckingham's first line of defense.

PERSONALITY

Buckingham is a hardworking member with a difficult past that has shaped him into who he is and how he expresses himself. He generally has an empty expression, as his eyes hold the most of his emotion. His eyes do the majority of the talking, mostly they will gleam with whatever emotion he is feeling. At rare occurrences, there might be a small frown or smile, but one must look closely to notice it. His past has effected him in ways you cannot see- such as insomnia.

Buckingham used to be an asset, a living weapon, for a few weeks of his life that's affected him majorly. During his time as an asset, he was quiet, cold, sneaky, dangerous, unpredictable, cautious, and emotionless. He was conditioned by his handler to be the 'perfect weapon'- meaning his sole purpose was his job. He believed he was a weapon, and had a mindset that he didn't deserve his own emotions or opinions. His every move could be changed with a simple gesture, and you do not want to be against the asset. The asset/Winter Soldier does not care who they harm, as in their eyes: everyone is a potential target. The Soldier was not created to make relationships.
- Bucky often struggled with the asset persona months after he abandoned his handler, Ximen. He would have uncontrolled relapses where the asset would take control, and potentially risk the safety of the people he loves.

In the floating sea town of Sunhaven, there's one particular boat that Buckingham Barnes calls home to. His home is a docked boat, which is tethered down to the dock. Inside of the boat, the interior consists of a bed room and a small living room. The bow of the boat is covered by a wooden roof, with wooden pillars keeping it steady & in the place. There are no walls are the bow of the boat, rather instead wooden rails so no one falls overboard or on the wooden deck. This spot can be used on nice days & cool nights, as there's a cotten rope hammock and cushioned chairs & a coffee table out for socializing.

The bedroom is the largest room in the boat, not only does it have room for a small, regular size single bed- there is also room for a wooden night stand, a closet, and a desk. On his bed, Bucky has a teddy bear, which he sleeps with at night(it helps him with his insomnia and nightmares). On the wall nearby his bed, Buckingham has a knife collection- it's not certain if he collected these knives for fun or used them in the past an asset, but now they're merely for show. Besides his wooden nightstand, Bucky has 5 liters of wd40- which he uses on his metal prosthetic to make sure it stays clean and doesn't rust. And finally, to get into Bucky's home, one would want across a firm wooden dock rail, which is safely secure and leads to the "front door" of the boat.

Buckingham was born to the world on September 29th, 2015 from Kensington(Ken) and Sandara Barnes. Kensington was his father, and Sandara his mother. Before Bucky was born, his parents had Loxley. Loxley was his older brother, they looked alike and shared the same eye color. Bucky was like a mixture of his parents, he inherited his mothers eyes, his fathers fluffy fur, and tabby stripes. He inherited his father's cream muzzle and his chestnut fur is a mixture of their brown pelts. He was just as, or even more fluffy than both of them, making him appear larger than he is.

For a small portion of his life, Bucky lived with his parents. They lived far away in a den made from bushes, with acres and acres of wild grass and herbs for Buckingham to run and play in while his parents watched him from afar. His life with his parents was probably the best part of his life, without a doubt. They always wanted to make sure he was smiling, happy, and become an overall, genuine good person. Bucky thought he'd spend his time with his parents until he was grown up, ready to move on and visit them in the future. But unfortunately, that never became a reality. When he was seven months old, his parents fell ill and were too sick to find a medicine cat. His brother Loxley, was already grown up and left the den a few moons ago. They entrusted Bucky, the young, naive child, to find the herb they needed desperately. Bucky did not have proper knowledge regarding medicine, but he still wanted to help them. He went out in search for poppy seeds, but instead mistakenly grabbed poisonous foxglove:

It was April. The climate was at a rather nice temperature- it wasn't too hot nor too cold. Bucky, age seven months, lived with his two parents in the loner lands, inside a small den for the three of them. They were a happy family, Buckingham was close to both of his parents, and he was their second child. The den had been crowded with four cats living inside, his older brother Loxley was grown enough to leave the nest. Bucky had his mother's light blue eyes, and he had his father's cream muzzle- as well as a combination of their brown tabby fur. He was just as fluffy as they are, considering both of his parents are pureblood maine coons. Bucky spent almost every moment of his childhood with them, he was always by their sides, looking up to them.

Well, that was until they contracted a bad case of the flu.

Bucky had to keep his distance. His mother didn't want him to catch it, as she was unsure how badly it would affect little Buckingham. But there was a slight problem here. Bucky and his parents didn't live with other cats- it was just them three. None of them were official medics, certainly not Bucky. Bucky knew the basics- such as poppy seeds and cobwebs. But if you tested him with anything else, he would fail miserably. Due to not having a medic to help, his parents managed to go into septic shock. He didn't understand what it was back then, but he remembered his mother's soft, usual soothing-but now weakened- voice speak up to him.

"Bucky dear, can you come over to me for a moment?"

His tiny little tufted ears quickly pricked up, his light blue optic gaze landing onto his ill mother. Getting up on his small paws, the tom made his way over. "Yes Momma?"

His mother gave him a weak, yet genuine smile. She looked tired, and full of pain, not like the happy, energetic mother he has been used to seeing. "Bucky, y-your father and I need some herbs." Herbs? What kind of herbs do they need? He assumed it's to help them get better, and of course he's going to want to help! Whatever he can do to help restore his parents back to their healthy selves, he'll do it. "I need you to go out into the forest and grab some poppy seeds, p-please." She finished up, her eyes slowly looking up at his identical blue eyes.

He was sure he knows what poppy seeds look like. They are tiny, little black seeds- they must help in some way if his momma wants him to grab poppy seeds. "Of course Mama! I'll grab you and Dad lots to help you both feel better!"

That weak smile was back on her face once again. "Thank you, sweetheart."

And with that, the little tom was padding off, leaving the den to search for poppy seeds. He was excited to have the opportunity to help his parents, he held great confidence that he would find them. He wasn't going to let his momma or father down, they were so going to feel so better in a few hours!

Eventually, the little tom came across a plant in his searching. His blue eyes looked closely at the plant, noticing the black seeds inside the purple flower. His eyes lit up instantly- ah, these must be the poppy seeds! They were small, tiny black seeds just like he remembers. Not even thinking that by some chance, he might be wrong, he begins to pick the seeds out of the plant. Once he has enough, he begins to head back home, proud of himself. He got them, he got them! Or so he thought.

He had no idea the seeds he just picked were not poppy seeds, but the poisonous foxglove.

He padded all the way back home, entering the small den, announcing his presence with a mew. "Momma! Dad! I got your poppy seeds."

"Ah great job kiddo." That was his father's voice, that was also weakened due to illness and was not in it's natural state. "Now, can you give both us the seeds to eat?" With an eager nod, the male padded up to his parents, dropping a couple of seeds in front of them both. "Here you go!" The seven month old meowed with a happy grin, his parents giving him a nod of his thanks as they plopped the seeds into their mouths. As his parents chewed the herbs, little Bucky spoke up again. "I'm going to go try to hunt for you guys! I've been practicing really, really hard- I want to bring you guys some prey and water!" Before they could reply, Bucky turned his tail and was running out of the den. If he even stayed to wait for a reply, he would have noticed his parents were beginning to have troubles- they probably wouldn't have been able to reply.

Bucky was gone for a few hours, maybe two or three. The young seven month old was working really hard, he wanted to make sure he had the perfect prey for them to eat. After several attempts and failures, the little tom managed to catch a robin and a vole. Proud of his kills, he picked up the two pieces of prey and began to pad back home.

When he entered the den, everything was dead silent. A few hours ago, when he came back with the poppy seeds, it was a little more alive in here. He could hear his parents quiet, muffled coughs. But now, there was nothing. Ears flattening to his head, little Buckingham put the robin and vole on the ground. "Mama? Papa?" He spoke up with a quiet, concerned mew, lifting his left paw and attempting to nudge them both. Neither of them reacted, they didn't flinch at the sudden touch, they didn't shift their bodies to look over at their son. They just continued to lay there, like they're dead. "Momma, Papa- I brought you both food.." He continued to speak with a concerned voice, before his tiny paws took him to see his parent's faces. It was like they were stone. Their eyes were wide open, filled with pain and suffering, and there were dried cracks of vomit at their mouths. No, no no no- it can't be. His parents are dead.

They didn't make it- the flu killed them. The flu killed them!

A loud cry erupted from the small maine coon, tears swelling in his eyes, as he laid on the ground next to them. A few hours ago, he had two loving parents that he was sure would survive. Now, he was all alone, left to fend for himself.

The young maine coon felt his paws shaking, tears running down his cheeks. They weren't supposed to die, they were suppose to get better! Bucky felt shivers run down his spine with fear, thinking of his brother Loxley. Loxley wasn't home, he wasn't around when mom and dad fell ill. Loxley wouldn't have let them die under his paws. He would have continued to work to save them.

Bucky couldn't bare to see how Loxley would react to the news. Would he blame his little brother? Would he put his anger out on him for not trying hard enough? Of course, if Buckingham wasn't in such a panicked, saddened state- he'd know that his brother would be understanding. But he didn't even think of that as a possibility right now. His ears flattened to his skull, tears dropping onto his paws. "I can't tell Loxley," He whispered as a tremor shook his small body, deciding to bury his parents outside of the den, and then to move on without looking back.

It wasn't until months after their death, that he suddenly realized that they didn't die of the flu. They were unintentionally killed by him, as he fed them foxglove instead of poppy seeds. This made him fill up with anguish and torment, not wanting to believe that he was a killer all the way back then.

With his parents gone, Buckingham didn't have any real reason to stay at their den. He didn't like the emptiness and quietness it radiated, and he couldn't look at the spots he found his parents dead at. He felt too afraid to search for his brother- who certainly had the shelter to provide to Bucky. He didn't want to wait around for Loxley to pop in for a visit either- as he'd have to tell the news that way too. So, he left the comfort of his home and began to travel.

He traveled approximately for three months, when he came across what he believed to be his forever home, a clan. Buckingham doesn't like to mention the clan's name nowadays, as the regret and guilt that builds up in his chest isn't something he particularly enjoys. Bucky was just starting to get into a new life, surrounded by people who cared & supported him, despite not knowing him very well. He thought everything was going well, until one fateful day.

Buckingham decided to go hunting by himself. He was turning one year old at the end of the month, he believed he was responsible enough to go hunting by himself. He went out to hunt early in the morning, back when the rest of the clan was asleep. He didn't check the borders, or for any scents nearby. He quickly set his focus onto catching those early birds, and missed a big danger that was creeping behind him. It was an enemy clanner, who ambushed Bucky by surprised, got the upper hand in the fight(they were a cheetah with mutated horns), knocked him out and dragged Bucky back to their home.

The enemy who stole Buckingham was known as Ximen. Ximen had mental manipulation, and while he began to torture Bucky, an idea foiled in their head. Bucky could be a perfect asset, weapon for him. While he began his torture on the maine coon, the cheetah tore away Bucky's front left leg. It was the perfect distraction Ximen needed, Bucky had been so focused on his pain, he didn't even notice the cheetah getting into his head. As his cries of pain ringed out, Ximen tore him apart from the inside. Every memory in his skull, his identity, the person he was raised to be- faded into nothing. Ximen essentially completely wiped Bucky, and reworked the puzzle pieces in his favor. He acted like a friend the moment Bucky was wiped, and confused why he was pain and missing a leg. Ximen fed him lies, but to the confused maine coon, they sounded trusting. Ximen told him that his (unknowingly) former home, or the enemy, stole him, his leg and his memories. Ximen acted like the rescuer Bucky needed- he cauterized Bucky's wound, and gave him an advanced metal prosthetic. He even provided Bucky a name, that he insisted belonged to the maine coon previously. Ximen called him, 'the Winter Soldier'. Believing this to be true, the maine coon adopted the name, abandoning his loyalty to his old group, swearing vengeance on them for what they 'did' to him. He pledged his loyalty to his 'clan', unknowingly to him was his enemy.

From that moment on, Ximen slowly became The Winter Soldier's handler as the maine coon adjusted to his life back 'home', without any memories to go off of. Ximen would call the Soldier in for favors, as the maine coon 'owes' him. The Soldier didn't question it, going through with what Ximen asked of him. Though each favor was more and more intense, and someone with a normal mind would have refused. The Soldier didn't- it eventually came to a point where Soldier looked up to Ximen for anything. He wouldn't attack clanmates that poised as a threat without permission, wouldn't speak his opinions or even think for himself. He was turned into a living weapon, and that killing was his only purpose in life. It even came to a point where Soldier didn't want to seek his lost memories- they would interfere with his job. He accepted that he was an Asset, as this must have been what his life previously was before he lost it all.

But weeks pass by, and memories began to sink in. The memories were unwanted, and were coming in like a frenzy. He couldn't stop them, and his head pounded with pain as his head got filled up. There was just one problem with these memories- they were nothing like the Soldier expected. They were the exact opposite of what Ximen told him. His name was Buckingham "Bucky" Barnes. He lived happily with his parents, and became a loner after their deaths to 'illness'. He traveled on, eventually running across the clan he swore vengeance to. It was extremely overwhelming, he felt lost within himself as everything he was shaped to be was a lie.

Though, when these strange memories invaded his skull- one important memory never rose to the surface: Loxley. The Soldier, or Buckingham Barnes, assumed he was an only child. He never thought of the possibility that not every memory came back to him.

When he approached Ximen regarding his memories, The Soldier, or Bucky, almost got killed. He remembered Ximen lunging for him, even making an attempt to get into his head again. Bucky was almost subdued again, but thankfully made it out with his life, identity, and memories. The moment he ran away from Ximen, Bucky no longer called himself the Winter Soldier. Bucky abandoned the cheetah, and shortly after, Ximen disappeared from their home.

The smart thing Buckingham should have done was run away from the 'home' Ximen introduced him to. But with the cheetah gone, and that no one else was involved, he stayed put. There was no way he could go back to his original home- he caused them so much pain through countless missions. And he went through with them with no hesitation, killing them for what he believed was right at the time. They had to view him as a traitor, and he didn't deserve redemption. So he stayed in his violent home, even risking it all by telling them the truth. He thought they would have rejected Buckingham Barnes, but surprisingly, they accepted them as a clanmate as much as the Winter Soldier.

It quickly came to Bucky's realization that he can never go back to the person he used to be. He was conditioned to be a living weapon, take orders without question, not think or speak for himself. It was hard to shake that, as those almost came natural to him. While he could live on without waiting for orders to be handed to him, Bucky couldn't change the assassin he was shaped into. He continued to kill, but not for Ximen, for himself and the 'safety' of his clan. He thought that he just has to live with it, and accept that there's no way for him to stop it. Buckingham Barnes and the Winter Soldier are now one.

For months, he continued to live a life between Bucky and the Soldier. He would kill the innocent and torture enemies, while in the same time- growing relationships with people. He would bond with his clanmates, even grow particularly close to one male. This life was becoming the norm for Bucky, and he thought he'd be able to handle it.

While these months passed, and with each murder he committed, the maine coon ignored the small weight of guilt that's added to his chest. At first, these feelings of guilt and regret were easy to ignore. The weights weren't that heavy, it's like they aren't even there. But with each tiny weight that's added, the overall weight grows. It's easy to ignore at first, but later down the spectrum, it's like you're carrying 100 pounds/45.3592 kg. And that's nearly impossible to ignore. And it came to a point where Bucky couldn't ignore it.

It felt like Bucky could barely function with the amount on his chest. He couldn't sleep at night, wake up in the morning, or patrol the territory without feeling remorse. He couldn't stay in such a violent based, hate-filled home anymore. One morning, he decided to leave- without telling any of his loved ones. The assassin sneaked off, not looking back once- deciding that he will fight the person he was reworked into, and finally put his life together.

He can have a second chance at life, he can do it.

It was April 2018, while Bucky was in the middle of traveling, when he came across a haunting, familiar scent. It did not take him long to realize the scent belonged to his former handler, Ximen. Bucky thought Ximen died off somewhere after the mutated cheetah disappeared. The amount of fear that Bucky felt in that moment couldn't be described. He wanted to turn and run, but his paws wouldn't budge. After being free from Ximen, the hate Bucky feels towards the abomination grew in his chest. He couldn't run away because his mind wasn't going to let him. His head screamed for vengeance, vengeance! It was like Bucky forgot the whole reason why he ran away from their home- the idea of spilling Ximen's blood suddenly became a reality.

And that's exactly what Buckingham did.

Using the skills Ximen taught him, the maine coon sneaked up on the mutated cheetah and attacked. Despite their clear size differences, Bucky got the upper hand. Bucky got below their legs, used Ximen's exposed belly to his advantage. Buckingham did not care how much blood he split when his metal claws ripped his former handler open. Bucky got stained with blood, and luckily wasn't crushed by Ximen's collapsing body. Bucky left Ximen's corpse to rot, pleased that Ximen got killed by his own weapon.

Ximen was the last person Bucky killed.

It took a few more months of traveling until Buckingham came across Sunhaven. Sunhaven was extremely far away from his old home, Bucky feeling comfortable enough to join a new home. This new home was a neutral based clan- they weren't passive or warbound. Bucky was pleased they weren't warbound, and that people weren't expecting him to kill like his old clanmates did.

So far, Bucky's life in Sunhaven has been going well. Buckingham joined the War Guild- even though he did not want to kill innocents & without reason anymore- Bucky knew he couldn't stay away from war. He should at least use the skills he learned for good use. He can help protect his new clanmates and home. And if he has to kill, it will only be if it's an enemy proving to be a threat, or if he's defending himself. Under Quantum's reign, Buckingham got promoted to Hearthkeeper, and then Dawnguard. When Quantum stepped down, Monroe promoted him to Goldenblood, assistant deputy, and offered the Head Slayer of the War Guild to him.

Also currently in development, when Buckingham thought everything was perfect, his past life came back biting. Bucky was accused from their ally, the Ascendants, of murder. At Sunhaven border, Bucky got surprised attacked by a grieving widow, who nearly suffocated Bucky to death. Monroe thankfully helped subdue the lioness, as if he didn't- Bucky would have died. Clearly, Bucky didn't commit the murder, but when the Ascendants Astral Seraph requested to look through his memories- Buckingham denied. Shaken up & having a phobia of mental manipulation due to his past, Bucky refused his head to be messed with.

Due to him refusing to allow Bastilleprisoner into his head, he and Monroe had to travel to Ascendants for further investigation.
