This was a polar opposite climate from what he was used to, but he was starting to get adjusted to it as the days roamed by. It had been a bit since the muscular feline settled in, recruiting himself as another shipmate of the Typhoon. He was used to bitter cold, and he thought that perhaps Snowbound would've sufficed.

    So what the hell happened?

Iosef was attracted to the Typhoon from the very beginning. The thrill of doing as you pleased, dominating the other groups with superior strength and strategies of war, living life on the edge and to the fullest. Of course, he was willing to weigh his other options, so he did the necessary research on the other groups as well. Climate-wise, he could handle Snowbound, but the pale Siberian tiger figured that he would have a very difficult time inhabiting a domain with creatures that didn't bear a similar mindset. It'd be a struggle to cooperate and work as one unit, as these "Clans" were meant to function, and he'd likely be bored of all the freaks or the goody two-shoes waltzing all around him. He needed a different kind of passion, something the denizens of the Typhoon had much to offer. And so he remained.

The hulking feline gnawed subconsciously at the empty shell of whatever creature once claimed it, staring out at the rolling tides just beyond the vibrant green rainforests. In this plentiful domain, he had to pull his weight somehow. Iosef knew that he ought to enlist himself in one of the guilds, find a specialization that would suit him. But what? He knew that he wasn't fit to be a medic, bearing little interest in studying medicine, so the Necro Mambas were out of the question. As for the Typhoon Tyrants and Blackjack Rats, he was split. On one hand, he had the sufficient capability of a warrior to primarily serve as one, and on the other hand he bore a slight interest in the politics of this young, fresh realm. These were new groups, just forming. He had a chance to leave his mark.

Maybe he could even claim this land for himself. But he knew that was an impossibility for the time being.

Pondering his situation once more, the crewmate released a soft huff and stared onward at the picturesque horizon. In any case, he would have to open himself up to the other members of the Typhoon, forge a few acquaintanceships. It would be quite beneficial in the long run.

Daphne hadn't chosen this place. While she'd quickly fallen in love with it, she had never imagined she'd be in a place like this. She had only wanted to flee from her home after seeing the atrocities there, after seeing how they treated the people they swore to her they were protecting. It'd all been some sort of elaborate scheme that she knew very little about. There was a part of her that wanted answers. She wanted some sort of closure after all the lies she'd been fed over countless years and lifetimes but that wasn't possible. It was better this way, where she was hidden and safe. No one would think to look for her in a universe such as this, where she didn't even have her own human form.

It was almost ironic that she'd transformed into a bird. She remembered as a child she'd wished to be a bird so she'd better be able to hear the conversations of nobles, to know what would get her the real money that they kept in their safes. She knew that was the only way she'd ever get information to force such powerful people who stole from her own to their knees. She'd always hid that part of herself, the part that desired nothing but revenge for what'd been taken from her but the Otherworld had nursed that.

She wasn't sure who she was anymore. It wasn't the girl that'd lived in a little rural, seaside town in England under Queen Victoria, it wasn't the Caretaker who wanted nothing but to look after children like herself for the rest of her days, and it wasn't the vengeful spy willing to do whatever it took for her family's loss to be reconciled while furthering the progress of the Otherworld. Maybe she was all three. All she knew was this was the place where she would find out who she was. After all that happened, she wanted the answer to that more than anything. She supposed this was as good a place as any to land in. After all, she knew from experience that there were realms that burned constantly or were completely uninhabitable. What would she have done if she landed there? She was sure this was a blessing. An indication from whatever gods may be above that this was always meant to happen. It was better to believe that than to think someone in the Otherworld was still orchestrating every moment of her life.

She was pulled from her thoughts when she noticed an unfamiliar being nearby. She'd been going on a mindless flight, not exactly sure what she was looking for. Perhaps it was food, perhaps it was water, or perhaps it was simply to clear her own mind. In any case, some company would be welcome and she soon landed near the stranger, attempting to smile (she still wasn't sure how that all worked, given she had a beak now and no real lips).  Hello! I don't believe we've met. My name's Daphne," the tiny avian greeted.

Why! Another new face. It seemed almost hilarious to see so many new members to be wandering up into the Typhoon... or she just seemed to ignore everyone these days. Who knew. Guru had to meet them eventually either way. Wandering up, she found the smaller avian already introducing herself to the newer member who seemed to be.... chewing on something?  Guru remained to herself till Daphne finished, only to push her way into the conversation as needed when the other member of the Typhoon was finished.

Finally. Her time to shine. "Why hello there," she purred lightly. Her head slowly craned to the side, green eyes observing him slowly from head to toe. Seemed like this guy was the big man on campus. "Aren't you a looker?" came her second comment with a slight tone of fake sarcasm to it. Finishing her act, she continued on with introducing herself. "My name is Guru- The caracal offered a wink. "-Don't forget it, will ya?"
