Since [member=901]ROXANNE R.[/member]  got her a gift, it seemed only proper to give her sister one in return. It'd taken her a long time to track down her coven's usual reptile breeder, but she managed to get what she wanted. Of course, the tegu egg wasn't cheap, but she managed to trade for it easily enough with her medical knowledge. After all, reptile breeders required well-trained doctors whenever their animals had issues, so the payment seemed trivial to Rosemary.

Once she acquired the egg, she sat it in a warm corner of Roxanne's tree house, along with a piece of paper with her cursive handwriting on it.

Care Sheet - Argentine black and white tegu

First off, the egg holds an Argentine black and white tegu - it should hatch soon, the person I traded it from just recently had their first two hatchlings from this clutch. It'll be about eight inches long when it hatches, and grow to a maximum of five feet if male or 3 feet if female. Its lifespan is approximately 20 years.

They're known as being intelligent reptiles and will grow tame with proper handling. However, they are predators and you might need to supervise any interaction between it and your croc baby; they're enemies where they've encountered each other in the wild. Like your croc, the tegu is quite good at swimming, but shouldn't swim in ice water due to their exothermal nature as reptiles.

For its diet, you will need to feed it a mix of lean meat, veggies, and fruits - they're omnivores, and are especially fond of eggs if you can find them. Insects are fine when they're hatchlings, but you must ensure it eats enough calcium! Grinded up egg shells, teeth, and bones are ideal for the hatchling to eat.

PS - If it hatches and is all white, it's still a black and white tegu. It's just an albino morph.

    - Rosemary

✧*:・゚ Rox had been out for a few hours now with her chin on top of Kal's head as the two of them slept quite peacefully. She would open her eyes slowly squinting at the sunlight that was peeking from her curtains, she would rise slowly and stretch out with a yawn escaping her. She blinked a few times only to hastily put on her eyepatch not even realizing she had put it on the wrong eye, she watched as Kal slid off the bed thanks to the blanket that was there to cushion his fall. She opened the door with a twitch of her whiskers only to spot something in the corner of her eye and she turned to the direction of where it was located. She gasped quietly noticing that it was an egg of some sort and she would notice the letter which she slowly opened it reading through it. Five or three feet, wow, she read through it before she would glance down at the egg once more "An Argentine black and white tegu." She mumbled quietly to herself picking up egg letting it lean into the fur of her chest finding a smile on her face, this was such a great gift and Roxanne couldn't imagine how much this probably costed Rosemary since she was sure that tegus weren't found in this area. It definitely made her happy though a section of the letter made her worry a bit, she hoped that Kalayavan wouldn't try hurting the small egg or the tegu that was inside. He wasn't big on sharing her for that matter so it made her a bit nervous yet she tried thinking positive. She was already thinking some names for the baby tegu having used a piece of cloth as a form of pouch with the egg lightly pressed to her chest for warmth, she had went down to the beach with the letter still in her forepaws. Kalayavan had already went off to go swimming, meanwhile Rox found herself sitting in the warm sun with a hum "You're such a great sister. God, how did I get so lucky?" She finally mumbled under her breath with a purr.
