a soft hum leaving lips that were forming a thin line. he had himself a new corpse to study. yet, he was not sure what to do first. the rat was fresh. still warm in fact. the smaller rodent lowered his staff to the ground beside him and blinked. eyes flicking to the item as if making sure it was safe there. then he looked back at the rodent and sighed.

"what killed you? natural causes or poison?" he moved closer to sniff the thing. looking for signs of poisoning. foam at the mouth was a good clue, usually. but there was nothing. not traces of it. he was puzzled. the rat looked far to young for it to be old age. clicking his tongue, he circled. until he noted the blood leaking from the eyes.

"hmm.. odd."
