[font=trebuchet ms]Despite the nice weather- the sun was out, a light breeze ruffled the grasses, the air was neither too dry nor too humid- Rin was on edge.
It was difficult not to be on edge, though, considering that every time she thought she could finally get some peace, someone had gotten injured (or, in Bast’s case, had almost died). It wasn’t the victims’ faults for getting hurt, and as the cleric, it was her (and Radeken’s, but she had serious doubts about her moral compass) job to protect and heal her clanmates. Even so, her supplies weren’t endless, and neither was her tolerance for nature’s shenanigans.
Today, at least, she couldn’t smell blood, or anything burning, and she couldn’t hear screaming. She still had her bag, in case those circumstances changed, but for now, she was simply resting outside, watching the clouds. The fresh air would help her concentration when she went back to studying, she figured.
