THE SIREN OF THE AZURE
[W]iskerTHE SIREN OF THE AZURE
[div style="background-color:#BG COLOR;width:90%; overflow: stretch;text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt;"] The silence of the swamp was pressing on her, like an annoying fly. She drifted through the swamp waters, tail acting as a rudder for mindless movements and changes of direction. Majority of her body underwater, eyes half closed as she maneuvered, picking up on the scent of rotting wood. Well, shit, most of the swamp had something rotten somewhere but this scent was closer to her point of orientation. Swimming closer, she came to discover several of the trees in the area had become bedridden with bugs. Well, that would certainly explain the stink, though most of the dead trees were hollow from their afflictions.
If she wanted, she could knock these over with just a bit of brute force. Lifting her head to the sky, remembering the voices of Tanglers passing her by unexpectedly, hearing of the drought that had almost destroyed the group. It wouldn't hurt to do some ... redecorating, especially with some of the territory still suffering the effects of that drought that had all but ruined the territory. Drifting there for some time, enjoying the sunlight that fell through to her scaly back, twisting her body suddenly and slamming her body against the roots of one of the worst trees. They would drift wherever for the time being, but she had plans in mind for the old wood in the future. Just as she had those plans, the woman had another plan in mind.
She'd seen this one around recently, a tall mass of fucking whatever the hell he was. He looked funky to her, hell, she'd grown up under her father's guidance, very little could scare her. She'd seen enough battlefields that horror was not something she thought she could ever feel again. No, this eldritch beast had caught her attention since she'd seen it existing. It ate. Which was fucking cool to watch. Maybe she'd left a few bodies out for him over the time since she'd seen him. Another cannibal, fuck yes. Idea formulating in her mind, listening to the crunching and snapping of wood as the tall tree tumbled, knocking into its fellows before falling into the water with a grand splash, sending up birds screaming in alarm.
A wicked idea filled her mind, watching the water roar into the sky around the tree. Clearing her throat, she would raise her voice, knowing that some would be coming to check out the loud crash and splash, followed by the echoing bang of the hollow trees. Shit this was fun. "EY [member=2955]SILENT[/member] , COME HERE, I GOT SOMETHING FUN TO DO", she roared, relying on her lungs to help her out here. Well, she'd give him some food following this, but she planned to initiate a tussle with him that may or may not bring even greater destruction. More material to work with and less trees in the way of swimming around.
