      Poppy had been very keen on journeying after his first home was attacked and he was left alone. He drags along a bag that has a coat and a tiny tiny shelter just to squeeze in. His things are to protect him from the weather since he is delicate to it from his bald cat side but magnificent from both bald cat and his dragon parents. Poppy is quite old now since he started joining as a younging up till the time he came to cross tangle wood.

The rustling at the border was not unusual. Atticus might have crossed the border recently without a care, but he did it to bring vital information to his home. As for the rest, their motives were unknown. Such as the strange being on the border now. Their bright hues and tones crossed his vision as he walked along, immediately catching his attention and interest. While he held no authority, he felt obligated to show his face. Shaking out his pelt and straightening out his bad posture, the Tanglewood member began to grow closer to the stranger.

As the canine approached, his head lowered to offer a curt nod in greeting towards Leka and eventually came to a halt. Atticus cleared his throat. "Name and business on the border," he demanded sharply. "Your on Tanglewood's land." Technically the border. Technically the neutral lands. Whatever. He didn't necessarily care about the correct terminology anyways. All of it would produce the same result.

        Seeing the other walk up towards him Poppy watched his movements. The stranger lowered his head and he accepted it as a non-threatening aquantice. "I am Poppy, and I am an explorer with simple goals and ambitions. I am more or less just walking through." Poppy spoke with pride and stood up proper to state himself correctly.

Simple goals and ambitions? If only it were that easy. Atticus' head tilted, eyeing the hybrid curiously. His gaze moved back up to Poppy's own in no time and offered a sigh. So be it. The wolf bent his haunches and lowered to the floor to sit, patiently waiting for Arrow's arrival. Nevertheless, the matter still needed to be addressed. With his tail wrapped around his backside and towards his paws, he straightened his head and continued on.

"While it's a pleasure to hear you are pursuing your goals in life, I'm afraid you're still within Tanglewood's realm," he replied firmly. Atticus felt as if restating his former point would emphasize they weren't to cross the border, despite their intentions. Any traveler should know that crossing a border would be a dangerous feat, especially if they didn't know who they were dealing with. Thankfully, Tanglewood was rather neutral. "You cannot explore here freely without permission or becoming one of us." The wolf did not expect anyone to randomly join them though, especially if their loyalty was questionable. He merely offered it as a loophole.

      Poppy raised his eye brows at the contradictory statements and grew in stance for protection from the strangers agitation. "If this is a neutral place as you say, then there wouldn't be such hostility towards someone who has none for you. Also I am by far random since I got blood ties to this place by not one but multiple." The best decision for this aggression would be logic but logic rarly works for one's who just and only want the tast of iorn in their mouths. If this comes to a fight poppy is by far not weak and has only worked hard.

They were going to play that game, were they? His patience was beginning to run thin as Poppy continued to speak, but he held his tongue for the stranger and his own dignity. "I never said Tanglewood was neutral, especially towards letting stranger in," he shot back. Grumpily shaking his head, the wolf let out a sigh. "With any visit, we require details first and approval from our higher-ups." Atticus knew that first-hand. For as many times he travelled back and forth between The Pitt and Tanglewood, Elsweyr had always approved his arrival. Only recently did he cross the border without permission because he had vital intel that would protect them from upcoming discourse.

"You should have started with that, but blood relations don't prove your intent," Atticus grumbled. "Why are you here?" Tanglewood didn't have much to offer. An explorer had to have some reason for visiting their land, whether it was to visit family, inquire about their library, or simply join. The canine wasn't willing to continue or give any verdict without that information.

"Aw, he ain't hurtin' nobody. We love a harmless little stranger here, no scent, no harm, no foul." Arrow whistled, seemingly amused at the antics. Her whiskers even twitched at the back and forth, though she held no hostility for the stranger. They were, after all, just exploring. Sure, they had their territory, but what good would arguing with everyone who crossed their path do? The biggest issue was making sure the guy didn't get lost and end up gator food. That...that would suck. "And 'sides, we let you in, Atty. Half a mind to just pluck your eyes out smellin' like the Pitt, but here you are, nice and with both eyes in ya sockets. Hoo boy, wouldn't wanna ruin no good looks out here none. We told you that when you brought up your mama." The Luminary snickered at her own half-threat, imagining the sight of a roughed up and blinded Pittian squirming around like a newborn, but in agony. But that wasn't information to dump on a wandering traveler, that sounded so malicious.

However, as she wasn't here for that, the feline tilted her head inquisitively. "I got a bit of a soft spot for explorers, I happened to be one myself when I was much, much younger. I'm all old now, so I don't get out past the swamp much. If you don't mind, Brave and Noble Poppy, who's these blood ties you're on about? You look a bit familiar, maybe I know 'em."

A loud rippling growl announced the Patriarch of the Lingré line, their jaws spread in a deep yawn. Shaking their body out, blinking away sleep, the elder dragon made their way forth, following the voices, "Arguments are best left for negative places. Negative places are not home, unless provocation is given.", came their rumble as they plodded forth. They had initially invited their son to come find them wherever they were, when they'd left him with the ability to survive as a youth. When they'd lost everything again.

Scarred face pointing downward, bending their neck down towards Poppy, "He is my son. My youngest hatchling, though now grown. The eldest resides here with us as well. This is all that's left of them.", they would rumble with a tone of pride to their voice. The former Kingpin of Alithís Evgenis turned a gaze upon Atticus, "Explorers know of alliances and standing. Politics are dangerous minefields, it is a necessity for them to learn of politics and standing of groups close to them. Would you travel without a map? I think not, if you do not know the land."

They hadn't been there for the wolf's joiner, but from how Arrow spoke they could assume it had not been peaceful. He might be trying to defend the borders of Tanglewood, but this was not a cause for passive aggressiveness. Their own arrival here would have been more warranting of an aggressive reaction than their adult child. A deep booming snort escaped them as they cleared their throat, tail twitching side to side. They'd been sleeping a fair amount lately, sleeping through a good amount of important happenings. They couldn't hold it against themself - grief was a difficult thing to handle and they knew they were old.

      Arrow had a good impression on Poppy with her sturdy strength and kindness towards him. "I am part of the Lingurè family." Poppy managed to great himself just before a growl peaked his attention. Swelling with many emotions upon seeing his papa he wasn't all that old when he was separated from him and went and traveled alone. Watching him speak reminded him of just how magnificent he is. Feels like re there is so much but so little so say. "Your hard to find." This small phrase was accurate to everything Poppy felt.
