With Kainan missing, things were stressful; at least, to Gordon, who almost relied on someone familiar hang around with. Sure, there was Vanya but she had a feeling that Vanya didn't really like her (or at least didn't like her following him around) and Dapple, but Gordon didn't really want to bother Dapple when the lioness seemed to have her own mental stuff going on. There was Muse as well, but Gordon hadn't really met them.
