ARISIDE LANECES
✯ — GIVE ME A CHANCE TO CATCH MY BREATH

there was always a sadness, a drifting sorrow. recently though, the sadness had taken many and forced all into a slump. there was little to do, yet too much at the same time. there was not enough energy within all to do these things, everyone was plagued by certain things, exhaustion claiming lives.
the merge hadn't been a surprise, everyone had dropped off the face of the earth, and to their allies, they were silent. yet those who were still there tried to be active, they did. they hosted events and saw nothing more than the empty looks in eyes. one such person who had stuck around through the silence and setting of the sun upon sunhaven was a tigress with a penchant for disasters.
ariside laneces was her name, a woman born from the wreckage of a burnt mansion, from the broken bones of her lover and sister. she was strong than a redwood, and as old as time. she was imperium, power, tamed by her own conscious. she had been a guardian, a world-destroyer once, and had instead turned to protecting the innocent from the monsters in the shadows. even to this day, the taste of hot coals and burnt ashes clung to her mouth and the sounds of popping wood and unnatural screams rang innecessantly within her ears.
she stood in the new territory, her eyes closed as she listened to the world around her and all of the active beings in activity, sorely missing certain sounds she knew she would never embrace again. fresh scars and rips played tag across her pelt as her legs moved, bringing her into a silent prowl around the territory, eyes slowly opening to reveal bright blue orbs that were as could as the ocean depths. she was back, not home, never home, calling it a new house, a new bed, with the same faces.
