The lion was currently pacing the larger part of the city they inhabited with his sense peeking about in the various structures. The place was truly sprawling and massive, plenty to explore and spend time with. Though for Sephiroth’s complex mind it only amused for a short amount of time. It was still something however, and he figured somebody had to do it. So the pale beast lumbered through the dusty area, quiet and sullen.A scent caught in his nose however, one that made him pause. Smoke. Smoke meant fire. Fire meant yet another destroyed camp. Stretching his senses more, he failed to catch scent or sight of any actual flame. Not in the camp, not in the dead forest nearby, nothing. No danger, but the scent still clogged his nose. The scent left a burning taste in his jaws, and sent him hurdling toward the direction of it anyways.
He found himself being carried towards a temple at the edge of the city, one he hadn’t explored at all yet. The lion cantered towards it, the scent getting thicker and he started to feel meat prickle at his nostrils. Fueled with sudden energy, Sephiroth trotted towards the grand structure, a set of heavy doors greeting him. He managed to use the muscle in his shoulders to shove it open, cringing slightly against the dust that flew in his face as he entered a clearly ancient structure.
Warm light illuminated the room, not just from the outside but from something gleaming from the inside. Sephiroth’s eyes reflected licking flames that burned from the inside of the temple, contained in a large wide construct of stone. The flame contained in fluttered slightly in the breeze that the open door provided but didn’t go out, remaining blazing and strong. Sephiroth felt immense power coming from it even from his somewhat distance position at the doorway. It warmed all the surroundings from within the confines of the temple it resided in, burned eternally, despite the now outside influence.
Sephiroth felt warmth enter his own body as he eyed the burning flame inside, open the doors wider and tilting his head slightly as the fire remained unaffected by the desert winds that now drifted inside. Some emotion akin to safety wafted over him, relaxing his tense shoulders but also sparking his blood in an energetic fashion, his tiredness seemingly replaced by determination. Something like this, this eternally burning flame, could only come from something divine.
(yeahhhh this is aspect related! An eternal flame to represent ignis’s presence/power/satisfaction/what have you. This is gonna be important)
