―――― //Retro to capture
Fairylights tried to make herself as useful as possible. Granted, she wasn't always sure what 'useful' entailed around here, but keeping herself busy, or quietly running off to do a few tasks when everyone else was busy was seemingly becoming her forte. Truth be told, she knew there were a lot of opportunities here, ones she would carefully admit she'd likely never find back home. Here, there was use to knowing full-fledged medicine, or knowing how to fight; or even how to interact with other people. Back home, she had spent most of her life, completely content to live simply with her parents and not truly question whatever lay outside her walls. Life was simplier there, and while there was surely an adjustment period to get used to all the other Sunhaveners, it did provide her an opportunity to explore what she was interested in.
Hence, she now was wandering the territoy with a small little basket and a book. She'd stop on occasion as she'd spot a plant she thought somewhat familiar from her readings, to pause and double check the handbook she had brought with her. While some plants were readily apparent, like the dandelions, daisies, and heather that was now slowly gathering in her basket, the one she stopped in front of now was less so. It looked sort of like a mint plant, with its slightly triangular, wrinkly leaves, yet it did not smell like what she remembered mint to be. She flipped slowly through the pages of her book, a thoughtful frown touching her face as she considered. These plants, so long as they were correct, would be going straight to Venus in any case; she didn't want to end up giving the Medic something blatantly unuseable, or poisonous. Curiously a paw reached out to touch the lightly sharp edges of the plant, though her paw quickly drew back in a small twitch of pain, "Ouch!" she whined softly, but then her eyes lit up with the realization. "Nettles!" Her discovery was complete, and while she was perhaps odd for being excited about grazing her paw, the girl carefully began to pull some of the Nettle from its stems, tucking it away into the basket with care.
