Silence.
Eerie silence filled the air, as quiet pawsteps softly echoed through the air. A feline, covered in a whole ton of white bandages walked slowly, one black eye and one yellow eye narrowed. A small splatter of blood could be seen on the young male's face and a maniac smirk was plastered onto his maw. Not too far ahead of him, was a beautiful feline. Her pelt was a soft ivory and her eyes were crystal blue. She was gorgeous. A bitter laugh escaped Zack's mouth and he slowly approached her, dragging his heavy scythe with powerful jaws. Happiness. The word honestly pissed him the hell off and he despised anybody who was overly happy. How annoying. As he'd excepted, the ivory female had reacted to his presence, but in a rather strange way. "Oh, it's you! I'm a fan of your work!" She had said, but he had been able to see past her lies. He could smell her fear. It rolled off her, like waves rolled off the sand and returned to the ocean. "Y'know, I'd like to become closer to you, if you don't mind." She had approached him, with such confident, that it disgusted him. She would place her tail on one of his shoulders and he locked eyes with her. He would let out a soft, maniac chuckle and he spoke. "Ten seconds. I'll give you ten seconds to run. Most people have five seconds, so consider yourself lucky. Not that you are lucky. It's unlikely you'll be able to escape."
So she ran. Ran like one of the three, little pigs had ran to the next house to escape the big, bad wolf. His grin would grow larger and after ten seconds, he sprinted after the female with ease. "If you're my fan," he said. "Why did you run from me? Are you scared?" Zack hissed into the female's ear. She would turn to him, with a terrified expression on her face and tears threatening to slide down her face. "Fine! I'm afraid of you! I don't wanna die!" A joyful expression grew on his face and he swung the scythe at the female's neck, almost cutting directly through and chopping off her head. "Hah, off with her head." The young male would then walk back towards home. Recondite Realm. A beautiful place indeed, but he hated the damn place. Especially his siblings. Family was useless. He had ended up wandering far from home and he got himself lost. Then a kind female and male had taken him in as their own child, despite him being a strange child. It turned out, his adopted father had been crazy and he'd set Zack and his adopted mother on fire. His adopted mother had died a gruesome and painful death, while Zack had survived. He had been left with permanent burns that would always cover his body, but he had bandages to hide his scars from the past.
"I'm home! Did ya guys miss me?" The young feline would call out, obnoxiously as he had walked up to the border and over it. Of course, he had stopped on his way home, to wash the blood on his scythe and face, so they didn't accuse him of anything. He always hated it when they did that to him.
