[align=center][div style="font-family: georgia; font-size: 9pt; width: 55%; text-align: justify;"]Melantha only happens to pass by when she spots Quill cradling some tiny rodent. Most days, she probably would just keep walking, but today she decides to stop. Not for any real reason in particular. She is simply bored and follows her whims. "Why 'Matthew'?" questions the crusader with a sniff. Melantha appears more disgruntled than she actually is. The mountain lioness does not care much what people get up to unless their name is Tsuyu or Dante and then she is annoyed by the fact that they are breathing in a place where she can see them. "I feel like Attack Dog or Weasel Of Death would be more entertaining." Mostly because Melantha's sense of humor is simple. Puns, irony, and sarcasm are all her go-to's. As terrifying as Mel may look, she is probably one of the most normal people to reside within the Pitt.
Now coming to the opinion of others Blu was minding his own business. Normally in a circumstances like this, if he didn't have a back bone he would be cowering in fear at literally everyone. But he was a snarky shit, so his backbone was razor sharp has his mouth was. Also his master was Tsuyu and he wasn't the type to defend her honor since she was raging mad, and he wasn't about that life to start that Stockholm syndrome bullshit. Even if he did start bad mouthing her, someway some how she was going to find out and he was going to get punished for it. He was going to keep doing exactly that since it was the truth, Tsuyu was insane, unstable and a threat to anyone and probably herself if she ever got to that point. Getting back to the situation he walked a upon, hearing faint squeaking. The canine stifles a slight chuckle at the sight. "How did a little fella like him end up here? This place isn't exactly baby pet friendly." he wondered out loud, dipping his head in greeting to Melantha.

[align=center][div style="width: 60%; text-align: justify; font-size: 11pt; font-family: georgia;"]☣ — Following Blu, the lion held his composure and offered a small laugh anyways. He was getting used to being a slaver at this point, but even he knew the difference between an unsentinent creature and a very-alive creature pleading for their life. Still, he found it quite funny. They held names and were animals. The only difference between pets and slaves were that one of them could not speak the universal language. Oh my god... does being mute qualify you as a pet? Maybe he needed to stop looking into it. Stryker promptly knocked the thoughts out of his head.
Neon eyes observed the ferret closely as he held a small smile upon his maw. "Pet... Slave... What's the difference?" he offered sarcastically. "I'm surprised the lil one hid to well here." A ferret didn't fit so well within their territory either way.

She's attracted to the scene by the people gathering around Quill, intrigued by what they could be looking at and chatting over. She wasn't busy at the moment, anyways, so she could use something to do. Padding over, Cosette would crane her neck to peer at the small animal the large hound had found, a bright smile coming to her face. It was cute, all snuggled up and tiny, looking content inside his bandanna. She had always held a soft spot for young lives. Still, she wasn't sure if she could keep up with having one of her own.
Her cheerful expression falters slightly at Stryker's comment, but only momentarily, the light quickly returning to her eyes as she watches the ferret with awe. She had never seen something so small. "It's really cute." she says, half to those around her and half to herself. Then she looks up at Quill, hoping she could hold Matthew later once he wasn't napping in his mini-hammock. [align=center][div style="text-align: justify; width: 55%; font-family: georgia; font-size: 11pt; letter-spacing: -1px; color: black"]Quill had a new friend. Honestly the large beast couldn't understand if he enjoyed the idea of another having Quill's attention or not. He was enthralled by the now much larger canine and he at times wished he could out right demand his attention but he was also too afraid to be so bold. It would just scare him away and he didn't want that. That was the last thing that he wanted. So instead he would put on a brave face and at least try to pretend like he liked the little rodent that was now cradled in the others bandanna. Slowly, thick paws moved forward toward the group that was nestled around the large direhound, eyes narrowed slightly against a bit of wind that pushed against his short yet thick pelt. Glowing tongue flipped along his lips before he allowed a sigh to leave his lungs as he came to settle near Cosette, curling his forked tail against his body. "It's lovely. What will you feed him while he stays?" He asked with a light tone, masking his slight irritation at the idea of this pet being here at all. This wasn't something he could control and so he stayed at the back, where he should be.
