Beverly was here. In Sunhaven. With him. Well, probably not with him, but regardless, she was much closer than she had been within the Ascendants. Some strange and unexplainable bond seemed to connect the pair, one that often times resulted in Ilijas longing for her company for no reason save the fact that he'd feel more complete, more whole. It was strange, he knew, especially given the fact that they hardly knew each other, but in that same vein, he felt like he did know her. Maybe even better than himself. It was weird... Weird and uncomfrotable but also mildly comforting all the same- he'd be lying if he didn't say that he simultaneously hated the confusion the link provided him and relished in the person it had brought into his life.

[color=gray]"Hey, Bev? You around?" Ilijas looked particularly confused as he wandered in circles about the floating town, curiosity gleaming brightly within his dark brown eyes. [color=gray]"I need to ask you something," He continued, a frown passing over his features. Moving in... yes... Would she want that? Would all the pictures annoy her? Who knew.

[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 13px;"]Like the strings that tugged when they had first met and when he arrived in the Ascendants as an elk, those strings had began to tug every day. She decided to humor them, let them drag her away from her room in the Observatory, see where they could take her. The answer was to Sunhaven, which she supposed couldn't have been more perfect for her. The colorful houses lining the shore, the endless sun, the warm sands.

When she arrived and saw Ilijas, the strings gave way just a bit. It had her wonder once more about this strange feeling of familiarity when they were together. Every time she looked at him, it was like the first time and the millionth time. He was like a stranger and a life-long friend.

Hearing her name, Beverly approached him, dual-toned eyes locked upon his face. She found herself smiling just a bit. "What's up?" the short girl inquired then, noticing how nervous he looked. "Something on your mind?"

Ah yes, those strings had relaxed the moment that Beverly joined him within Sunhaven, not nearly as taut as they had been once before and yet, still linking them together. In the few days since her arrival, she had managed to make this place feel like a home for him, somewhere he actively wished to be, no burning desire to simply up and leave clouding his judgement like usual. But his feelings towards the matter were torn, the young bengal completely unable to explain anything pertaining to the matter or Beverly in general. Did he like her or was he protective of her or both? See, he didn't know the answer to that question.

But answers didn't matter, not when she was smiling at him and he felt like an idiot because probably, probably he was grinning stupidly back.  [color=gray]"Yeah, listen... I've got an idea," He began carefully, pausing only to contemplate how to best deliver his proposition. Would it sound freaky if he offered the spare room in his house to her? God, God he was usually so confident in everything he did, why did she possess the startling capability to completely unnerve him?

[color=gray]"Okay... Okay... I have a spare room in my house and I was wondering if you wanted to move in? I mean it's totally up to you, but sometimes the real estate here can just be terrible," Ilijas stopped the moment it sank in that he had begun to ramble. Real estate didn't exist here... He was an idiot. [color=gray]"What I'm asking is: Do you want to move in with me?"

[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 13px;"]To put it simply, Beverly wasn't sure how to describe her relationship with Ilijas. They were friends, of course, but there was something about him that made her think they'd met before. It was like they both felt that and had accordingly skipped that weird beginning phase of the relationship, jumped straight into being comfortable with each other. She cared for him, perhaps more than she realistically should at this point, but there was something about him that could make her heart flutter.

And there it was. She watched him as his usually confident exterior melted into a more nervous one, his grin still matching hers. When he continued speaking, her snowy features lit up at the offer; partially because she had no solid place to stay in Sunhaven, but mostly because the idea of being able to spend more time with him made her excited. "Of course!" she boasted.

Trying to contain her shock and excitement, Beverly continued more calmly, "That'd be really cool. I've been kinda sleeping wherever since I got here because I haven't picked a house yet, so that takes that weight off my shoulders." She laughed softly. "I've always wanted a more permanent place to stay so I can have some space of my own. I really like traveling, but it also sucks sometimes because I really don't have any belongings. I have nowhere to put them!"
