since goldie was really starting to feel better from the flu as well as her burns, she was growing more active outside. besides, lynn certainly did not like to be inside all day - neither did she. in fact, she hated it. being stuck in the submarine left her so limited things to do and she was so out of the loop because she was stuck inside. she had tremendous anxiety over knowing what's going on with everyone and making sure that everyone was okay. she felt awful not being able to work and keep up to date with absolutely everything and everyone.
but, she was looking forward to feeling better. she couldn't deny that rest was what she needed, even if she absolutely hated it. because of all of her time stuck in her papa's submarine, she was forced to mostly read, draw, and work on her presents she was creating for everyone. the list of presents she needed to make seemed to grow each day, but she was starting to get close to being finished - assuming a bunch of people didn't show up all at once. she mostly needed to work on gifts for newcomers now.
this meant she needed to go out with her little basket again. she had cleaned her blue feather earring this morning, along with herself, so she was feeling quite refreshed. the girl hummed a little tune as she began to collect things she found around the familiar island, delicately picking up a seashell and brushing it off before putting it in her little basket filling up with many different things.

NOTHING'S EVER LOST FOREVER, IT'S JUST HIDING IN THE RECESS OF YOUR MIND AND WHEN YOU NEED IT, IT WILL COME TO YOU AT NIGHT. I MISS THE YELLOW. I MISS THE YELLING AND THE SHAKEDOWN. I'M NOT COMPLAINING, NO, I GOT A BETTER SET OF KNIVES NOW. I MISS MY DRUMMER, MY DEAD STEPBROTHER, AND THE PIT CROWD. AND CHUCK AND MATTY - IF THEY COULD SEE ME THEY'D BE SO PROUD.
