↠↠ Tokoyami certainly didn't need to tell his own sob story- that was his and his classmates' business, nothing more, nothing less. Of course, it had affected him in a notable way, but that was how he'd arrived in this world. His clanmates didn't know him as anything else. The crow-headed feline had never really talked about his past, or how he'd gotten here. As far as everyone knew, he'd just sort of washed up on the island, short and sweet.
As more people arrived, he grew a bit more restless. It wasn't enough to show through his cool facade, but it was there.
Tokoyami stiffened for a fleeting moment at Pincher's question.
"We were in class together where I lived before," he answered, speeding through his words so nobody thought about them too much. His tone was as flat and monotonous as ever, covering his slight worry, though what he was worried about he wasn't quite sure. Was it super uncommon for people to reincarnate? He had no idea. Maybe it happened all the time. He wouldn't know unless he asked, but he really, really didn't feel like asking right now. He had bigger fish to fry.
I walked here, birdbrain. Tokoyami's expression twitched into a look of 'you know what I mean', whatever that was called. The flames reached out and threatened to lick his face like a puppy whose owners had just come home, but the bird-head pulled back as soon as he saw the light. That was... new.
"Well, duh you walked here. But... you know what I mean," he urged, a slight hint of annoyance lacing his words. How had Bakugou gotten to this world at all? Had he died, too? Why had he (apparently) appeared on this earth so much longer before Tokoyami himself had? Perhaps these were answers to private questions, but he felt as though he deserved to know.
He glanced back at Goldie and Captainpaw as they arrived, waving a small hello with his tail to acknowledge them at least, but his focus was primarily with Bakugou at this point.
"Anyway..." he trailed off for a moment, stepping back from his friend (if they could call it that) and shuffling his paws for a moment, trying to find words to say.
"What they said. Welcome. I'm sure you can find everything on your own, but if you do need anything, don't hesitate to ask."
