The marauder stumbled into the plaza on uneasy legs. She took cautious steps, but even then her mind was fuzzy. Shaking her head gently, but only making the fuzziness worse, she grumbled. Kold tried to make a few steps, but found that her legs bowed, and her eyes widened. Swallowing thickly, she turned her growing distant gaze to the jungle nearby. Taking a quick, fleeting glance to see if anyone was noticing her, she then turned and started stumbling into the jungle.
Meters into the jungle, her legs gave out and she flopped onto the forest floor. Taking a deep breath, Kold tried to breath out gently. And suddenly her muscles stiffened and her mind was blank. A horrid noise left her, a strangled breath leaving her body. And the shaking began, her legs spazzing out while her jaws clamped shut with another noise leaving her. Eyes glazed over, the marauder was completely without control.
Then her legs started moving. But not in a way that would let her stand up. It was a swimming motion, rapid and sudden. Her wings slammed into the earth, surely a painful thing but the pain was not there yet. And the last of the shaking commenced, bringing her paws involuntarily toward her face before everything relaxed. She breathed heavily as her mind cleared, and yet she was just so, so tired.
So she stayed there, pitiful and in pain as the receptors in her brain finally registered her wings. Sprained? Broken? Bruised? She didn't know. She was too tired, too weak, to think on it and far too weak to move on her own.
