Sometimes it was nice to have someone to be weird with. Someone who wouldn't judge you, someone who was fun to hang out with and all that good stuff. August, of course, did not currently have someone like that, but that wasn't to say he wasn't trying to find someone to be weird with. It's just that.. Well, there were a lot of predators in Snowbound, and when he wasn't scared of someone, he couldn't connect very well with them. Over time that would fix itself, and he'd fit in better, but for now, August was on the lookout for a friend.

When the deer stumbled upon a cat who he'd never met before, he didn't get too worried or concerned; Snowbound was constantly accepting joiners, and he was well aware of this. His first thought was friend and so the zombie lowered his head to slowly blink his slightly shrunken eyes at the feline.

"Hello there. Are you new? Maybe I can be a friend." Usually he'd try to add more to the conversation, instead of straight up just saying 'let's be friends now', but August was near desperate for new friends to fill the steadily growing void left behind by his old friends.

"SPEECH"

Ah, a Deer? That was... new. Quinn quickly kicked the pebbles they were playing with to the side, mentally apologizing to them, before standing and shaking her short fur out. "Heyo! Yeah, I'm new, M'names Quinn or Q! Don' mind m'quirks, I'm pretty frikkin' cool!" they smiled at them, barely even pausing to breathe. When they finished, of course, Quinn was now wheezing before turning up with a smile again.

"Sorry if i'm a bit much, I know i'm a lil' bit odd sometimes, but don' mind it!" they added with an awkward little grin

His gaze moved to the pebbles and stayed there for a long moment before he smiled as best a deer could at Quinn. "It is nice to meet you, Quinn. Do not worry about your quirks, I do not mind. You can be yourself." He moved to nudge the pebbles with a hoof, ears flicking.

"You do not have to apologise. I am also odd sometimes. Perhaps that is what makes us cool?" He paused for a moment, "Oh, right. I am August. You can make a nickname if you would like."
