sitting in the inn, shuffling through different herbs, sorting for bundling, and for compost. frost had come early, and they had their small share of plant life upon the island that their tree resided upon. rumbling in content at the scents around them, coming from the flowers that still had life left in them, previously hung to dry. plants were no good when moldy. humming to themself, the kingpin sorted silently, paws lingering over certain plants, trying to dive into their memories of such things, remembering the uses for each. craving for a certain item they couldn't name, they dug up an ancient memory of watching their dame in the kitchen, steeping ... tea. that was it. tea. that's what they were missing.
closely observing the leaves and plants, they hummed as they worked, looking up to the ceiling, remembering having stored bushels and bundles in the rafters. rumbling with a grin, they found the plant that they were searching for, camellia sinensis, also known as the tea tree. ignoring their own failure at remembering it, they pondered how they had seen their dame make it. ah, hot boiling water, in a cup or some such thing, cover it to steep and then go hard. right? well, there was one way to find out. standing up, they pulled it down, rumbling in content, taking the bundle and opening it, they pulled out the tea leaves, looking around for something to put them into that would hold them. "hmmm, silly me. i wonder where i put that ...", they spoke to themself, searching for a fabric that would allow the water to soak into it and out, letting the tea's flavor remain without the leaves staying within it when the bundle was removed.
