Despite knowing exactly why Izuku has been told to do this thing, Izuku can't help but wonder why he's the one to be hosting this. He was a social mess, and the next time he hosts something like this he'll probably end up crying. He's changed his mind, hosting events is stressful and he's staying as far away from this stuff as he can. He's being dramatic, considering that he hasn't even announced it, and also, he's definitely going to feel bad and end up doing stuff, but his point still stands.
But -- right, the check-ups. Izuku had been asked to do the monthly check-ups, for scrapes and illnesses and such. Just little stuff that people probably wouldn't want to bother the medics with one-on-one or something. Izuku got the gist of it all -- I mean, he'd definitely end up messing something simple like this, especially without supervision, but what could you do?
"Um, hi!" Izuku begins to raise his voice to announce this whole thing despite the tightness in his throat. Despite how overwhelmed he's already feeling, the maine coon attempts to relax his posture, and at least manages a little pleasant smile. Being too tense would not bode terribly well for this, though Izuku has been pretty transparent about his crippling anxiety about stuff like this, so. Anyways. "Th-This is going to be the monthly check-ups, over here! It's, um, for treating or looking into anything that's been overlooked -- scrapes and coughs and the such," Izuku's voice gradually fades off towards the end, and he does his best not to shrink. Not a great introduction, but he'd at least told everyone that it was happening!! That was good at least!! Attempting to look on the positive side now, Izuku takes a shaky breath as he turns a little to reaffirm what herbs they currently had. Just to keep his mind off of this until somebody actually approaches or something. Maybe nobody would -- that'd be a relief, but mostly it'd be kind of humiliating. He should ... probably stop thinking, actually. He was a little too tired, then, and he should probably just focus on the herbs.
//once again retro to injuries bc timeline and also he needs to See
