The swamp wasn't the best place for a picnic, but it would have to do. She had never had a picnic before, but she also had never had the time or the desire to. Now, though, she was finally getting around to it, a basket full of food hanging from her jaws. She was told to set up an event where everyone could get to know one another, for newcomers to settle in with the community. There were probably better ways to do that, but the best idea that had come to her mind was a picnic. Who didn't love food and lounging around on a blanket? Everyone enjoyed that--except her, only because she often didn't eat.

Anyways, a large blanket was set on a patch of ground that was relatively dry, then an extra on top just in case. Feverdream set the food down on one corner, then took a moment to look at who was around. Considering their territory, it was a pretty nice day out.

"Come and gather for a picnic, everyone!" she raises her voice just enough to be heard, then settled in and hoped that others would carry on the message. Now it was time to wait, and in the meantime, she would busy herself with setting out the food.

There was a Potluck in his town growing up sometimes, but never an actual picnic. .. He's not sure how he feels about this particular endeavor. ... ... Well. Jim didn't mind his groupmates. This would be a good opportunity to talk to them.
.. But, when he arrives to Feverdream's call, there's nobody except her, yet. Granted, it's only been a few moments. Jim tips his head, and, slowly, grins. He attempts to shake the mud off of his paws, and only partly succeeds. He grimaces, and sets carefully onto the blankets, mindful in his attempt to get the mud off before he goes farther.
"How long did this take to put together?" Jim asks conversationally, looking up at the much larger creature, a grin breaking across his maw. Jim knows that making food is a difficult endeavor, even when replicating. And this was not, in fact, replicating. ".. Well, I guess the real question is, did you make this? Do you like making this stuff?" His voice is genuinely curious as he shuffles around the food. Jim is a sucker for cooking, to be honest. He's just ... a little rusty. But he hasn't ruined the kitchen, so that's a plus!
