Valentine was almost done with the finishing touches. He was incredibly excited- he was sure that Dad and Leo and Masie would love it, and hopefully his other dad would, too. He'd put a considerable amount of time into it already, after all.

The pup spat out his crayon. He didn't remember where he'd found them but they were there, laying in a broken pile next to him. His paws smoothed out his creation one last time, smearing some color, but he didn't notice. What was most important was the subject matter. His fathers, Owen and Seamus, stood tall over him and his brother. Next to them were Masie and the rest of the raptor pack. It was... not a very good drawing. Most of the family was indistinguishable from each other regardless of species, but he had tried his very best and that's what counted. The kid grinned wide and blinked his rosy eyes at his drawing affectionately. Hopefully everyone else would like it, too.

"Leo! Masie!" the boy called, concealing the poster behind him so it would be a surprise.

Leonidas hadn't been too far away when he heard his brother's call. The young pup had been digging around the sandy beach looking for sand crabs. When he heard Valentine, his ears pricked up and-- after shoveling the sand crabs he'd dug out into a little bucket he'd found-- scampered on over to the white pup. "Hey Val! Whatchu need?" he asked.

Owen had been laying on the ground outside of the raptor pack's nest at the time, his arm still healing from the raid as well as his neck and face. He didn't get his ass kicked, but he sure as hell was teamed up on pretty well. The sound of his children talking had caught his attention, making him stand up slowly, sauntering over exhaustedly. "What's going on, you two?" He rumbled sleepily as he arrived, his steps heavy but well placed.
