Run... Keep running. Don't stop. Don't ever stop. The words echoed through the kitten's mind as he raced through the plains with tears streaming down his furry cheeks. Those were the last words his mother had ever said to him - the last words she had ever said to anyone. The attack was still vivd in Cody's mind, remembering the event that had only occurred moments ago. The scene repeated in his brain over and over again as he ran, not daring to look back. If he did, he might see the enormous creature chasing after him again. Never before had he ever been so terrified in his entire life until today. After all, it wasn't every day that a kid watched as his mom got torn into pieces by a creature more than ten times her size. And she had done it all so that the boy could flee to safety. "Help!" The little calico cried out, his small body finally forcing him to stop running. He felt as if his heart was about to beat right out of his chest as he collapsed to the ground, fortunately near the border of the Ascendants. He was unaware of this however, and feared that nobody would ever come to help him. "S-someone please help..." His voice became faded the more he called out, and he began to feel lightheaded. He had lost quite a bit of blood due to several wounds in his sides, created by large talon-like claws. For now Cody lied there, covering his eyes with his paws as he rocked himself back and forth helplessly.

Nothing more then a pawn, a bargaining chip with some hope it may gain her approval, if not outright power. And yet here her child was, once given placement above her own meagre station, holding the life of others as he strove to fight off the cold clutches of death, and she nothing more then distant memory.

Strange was the touch of her visage, bright tones parading about as though it sought to be deemed golden and found upon it the twist of sour an expression, within his mind. Rare had been the turn of thought towards her before when such had been intact, each given careful consideration before being placed aside, given all the time he would allow it. Now she was there beneath the surface, minimal passing barely touched with conversation he had shut down rather quickly, never accepting of her presence.

“What now,” words drawn across tongue, sharp the exhale they rose upon. Uncalled for, and rather unfitting to the situation presented before him, but the call, no matter the faintness behind it the strain within was apparent, brought only the heat of anger. Difficult was it to gauge when next an injured may present themself, state ranging though this was different, the hum drawn from pursed lips when finally the youth came upon the collapsed child softer, want for more present though he bite it back. Familiar was it all, this want to sing as Silus settled next to the child, watching his actions as though he sought to comfort himself some small bit.

Gentle was the paw which reached out to push aside the small paws Cody had placed over his eyes, leaning closer though occupied was he, quickly running through what he had within his bag. “Hey, kid, come on,” soft tone unfamiliar to him, murmur of sound meant only for the other child, flick of gaze towards his sides. Many appeared deep but he had not the instruments to suture any of it, those contained in his pack meant only to help with more minor wounds. “You're okay, I'm here to help. Can you tell me what happened?” As he spoke Silus shifted so he might access his bag, pulling from it various pouches and jars, a few rolls of bandages, and a bottle of water.

The shrill mew of a kitten had certainy grabbed Titan's attention. He folded his ears backwards, a slight frown painting his maw. It wasn't often that he heard such feeble cries, so whatever it was, he figured that he should go and find out what it was for himself.

The lion arrived on the scene, his gaze tracing around and trying to understand what was currently happening. Silus comforting a crying kitten, the kitten was by itself and obviously roughed up. There were even crimson stains present on his splotched pelt, and this raised alarm in the lion to some degree. "Where have you come from?" Titan asked the much smaller creature. Could it be possible that this child had hailed from another clan? Perhaps. Perhaps he had been a loner. Either way, Titan wanted to make sure that there was no threat to their borders.

"He has wounds that are bleeding like that and you're worried about where he's from? We need to clean the wounds and get him into the observatory." Fussed Onision as the werevampire rushed over, inticed by the smell of blood from a distance. He tried to resist the pull, it was merely a child before him, but he had to figure out how bad the wounds actually were. Fuck, why did  Moon have to die?

Oni didn't know shit about medical whatever, but he did remember Moon saying the wound needed to be cleaned before it was touched, or infection was likely. "Uh.. Shit, I don't know who else has medical experience in the clan, Titan." Rambled the werevampire, covering his nose now with a paw.

His soft spot for kids was obvious in moments like these, but he knew he wasn't supposed to touch people who were bleeding- it usually ended bad.

"Get away from there, Host."
No, the child is hurt. We need to help him-
"You need to help yourself! Look at your fangs!"

Aloysius argued with him mentally, making the male's multi-colored eyes move down to his jaw, where his vampiric fangs had began to extend. With a shake of his head, Onision turned his head away from them.
"I'll go find someone!" Oni barked out as he rushed off, his tail brushing eagerly against his back.

[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px; color;"]It was the smell of blood that caused Agathe to arrive so abruptly upon the scene, a frown twisting ebony lips as she looked almost wildly around for danger. All she found was an injured child being fussed after by her clanmates. Interesting (and not nearly as exciting as she had been anticipating. Was it wrong of her to crave combat so much so that she had hoped that this newcomer had brought with them their attacker?). Golden eyes would blink a few times, obviously processing Oni's statement regarding medical expertise. She knew the basics - and truly, she meant the basics - but perhaps she and Silus would be able to assist this stranger? While a part of her loathed the idea of helping a child, this was her duty now and duty would always trump her personal beliefs.

"Tell me what needs to be done. I can treat basic injuries," She announced quietly, not looking at Cody too long in fear of potentially frightening him. Her general disposition seemed to have that effect on people, especially children, and she was in no mood to deal with him any further than these injuries. "What's your name?" Was all the stoic snow leopard would inquire, expression once again as stony as usual as she awaited Silus' command. Perhaps idle chitchat would take his mind off of what certainly had to be agonizing pain. At least she could relate on that front, she had arrived in the Ascendants in a similar fashion, the marks that marred her side nothing but poorly-healed scars now. If they had been able to handle her injuries, she was sure that his would be no different. He just had to stay alive long enough, she supposed.

The pestering, trying complaining of Onision filled the lion's ears, and immediately caused them to pin against the back of his cranium. Titan gave a sneer, and he whipped his gaze to face that of the reckless youth. Perhaps it had been wrong of him to release him from probation, after all. "Whoever did this — whatever did this may still be out there." The lion responded firmly, his intense stare locked onto the Lunar Lieutenant. "Our safety could be at stake." And that was something that he was not willing to risk.

Before he knew it, Onision had ran off, and now the three were left with the kid. Titan couldn't see himself being able to assist in any way, at least not any better than Agathe could. "You stay here." He told Silus and Agathe, simply because he was confident that the two could manage to get the kitten the help it desperately needed.

With that, the lion rushed off into the undergrowth, determined to check the borderlands and make sure the territory was clear of any apparent danger.
