the dire wolf wasn't quite sure what he was doing in the water, but the strange rumbles of ocean as it swirled around sunken train tracks piqued his interest. in the distance he smelled an island, faint, but the ocean breeze carried with it the scent of a group. he hadn't been to this place before. the demon had been running out of places to explore, trekking all over the land, wearing at his pads, but at the very least he'd found a new area to explore. even though he was at least slightly sure he would not be welcomed with open arms.
bubonicplague slowed as he neared a large structure, ears swiveling, head tipping up to breathe in the mingling smells. to his side was a bell, old and rusted by the way it stunk, crisp and filling the air with iron. lip curled in disgust as he gave the thing a light tap before moving on, lumbering into the thick jungle. the beast pushed effortlessly past trees and trampled underbrush, paving a clear trail after him without much care. somewhere in the jungle, on the far side of the island, he could smell alcohol. the demon came to a pause in a small clearing and hummed out in uncertainty; to drown his sorrows or keep sober? a tough decision. bub twitched his tail idly as he thought on it and subconsciously frowned, brow knitting together.

I AM THE END OF ALL THINGS.
I HAVE SEEN THE FALL OF BABYLON.
I HAVE DRUNK THE BLOOD OF KINGS.
