God knows who thought it was a good idea to mention coffee to the anxious rookie. Odds were nobody actually did, but that she heard about the caffeinating drink in passing. It sounded interesting to her.
It sounded familiar.
Turned out it was a bitter, hot drink. One that, although she scrunched up her nose at first, Kiira continued to sip and sip until her mug was empty.
Although she was a rather quiet, flighty child; Kiira was rather hyperactive. Her brain could run in a thousand directions at once, and if she was not moving - no matter how worn out she probably was due to glitching - she was fidgeting, or in the process of death by boredom.
Books were her usual solution. Once the alabaster and white canine was hooked, there was no stopping her until the pages ran out. More than once already, Kiira had worked up some courage and, as an extremely quiet and stuttering mess, borrowed some books from her new clanmates. As soon as she finished - often in less than a day or two - she gave them back.
It would not be recommended to give her coffee and books. As the caffeine buzzed through her system, unused to anything unnatural, the child suddenly disappeared, reappearing only a few feet away. Then again in the opposite direction. As her brain began to slow down a little, she blipped out of existence again, only to wind up in the branches of a tree.
Instead of looking around, dazed or confused, the canine just slumped on the branch, completely passed out. She was not coming down anytime soon.
