APPEARANCE
white serval | 100% | a pale, slender serval. he carries a natural appearance for his breed; long limbs, a lean frame, light flecks of silver-grey where his usual spots ought to be. his posture is impeccable, if not visibly stiff - however his careful, if not delicate step, appears to come more naturally to him than any sort of slouch. he is well-built for his kind, physically agile and well-suited to challenges of endurance; in spite of the fact that he only poses an average difficulty in battle, he makes up for a a lack of powers or enhanced weaponry with his speed and guile. upon narrow shoulders sits a prim face, well-groomed and angular. samuel understands the emotions of other living things, and replicates their emotional expression with uncanny skill - his smile is so close to empathetic one could easily feel at home in his measured happiness. his eyes, a frigid blue, attempt to reflect his emotions accurately - but there is a certain nothingness behind it all, open yet unseeing, as though looking straight through their target. so close to charming one can taste it in the air but never quite enough to catch its scent, samuel uses his fabricated charisma to his best advantage whenever necessary.
of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare.
PERSONALITY
true neutral | intp | gemini sun
misanthrope supreme | servile snarker
samuel modifies his personality to suit his surroundings. this seems an easy task for those used to the life of the emotional chameleon, but he is careful in his craft, and every shift in mood holds deep intent. this faux sense of empathy is a learnt skill, which he has honed for the sheer purpose of blending into a crowd and going unnoticed - an unrecognizable face in a mob, a drone among legions. there is no express purpose for these practices. merely, samuel prefers to remain outside of the lime light, orchestrating his symphonies from the backstage and moving among the audience to view his results.
samuel holds little interest in morals. should a goal require a task that others may find unethical, samuel instead sees virtue and experience gained. the study of natural science often preoccupies him, as well as a passion for understanding the dangerous creatures that lurk in the unknown - mutants, freaks of nature that live among the clans, those with powers and those without. he will give or take anything to study the extent of their power; how it came to be, how it is transferred, how bodies survive the brutal elements they've come to harness. for his interests, samuel casts common values aside - his methods are often considered a bit unorthodox.
otherwise, samuel is a perfectly normal individual who enjoys perfectly normal day-to-day activities. he spends time tending himself with the utmost attention, watching his health, his weight, all facets of his general appearance. he runs a small shop out of his sunhaven home, selling medicinal goods and supplies he's manufactured by hand; he puts effort into interacting with the clan in which he lives, though his sympathy for other sunhaven members has waned since the start. in fact, he has little interest in clan life to begin with. he has never seen his fellow creatures as intelligent beings, instead turning to relics of the human past to educate himself - reading, writing, and interpreting medical texts to create herbal and other holistic equivalents.
that being said, it is difficult for samuel to replicate any sort of true empathy for his peers, but for the sake of appearances, he intends to look the part.
