A LOVE FOR THE DEAD
face the facts.
the facts.
facts.
those were all she had to make things make sense. she did not feel anything when vale vanished. her friend. her giver of zombieism. the sire of her cubs. vale vanished and as was true to her form, the slowly rotting cheetah felt nothing. ve was gone and life moved on. sure, vale understood her. truly understood her mind and her actions.
the others did not get her. how could they even dream of understanding the monster she was? they had never been there. never would be. vale was there and was in her mind. ve knew who she was and how she ticked.
vale knew.
and here she was with no feelings on the missing ardent. or, well, vey were not ardent no more. it was odd. all of it was so odd. she had no ties to the remaining ardent. they interacted once and she was asked a question she was never going to be able to answer.
that was all there was. questions she would not answer as she could not. she met others, but never stuck around to get to know them. well, mr. snuggles was one thing. the rodent helped her here and there.
the others did not.
so, what kept here here? it was not loyalty. she had none. not to herself or anyone else. she could not feel bonds. the only thing she knew and understood was that this place accepted her. so, she would never leave. she could never leave.
this was home.
even without vem.
