Honestly, this was pretty long overdue. It had been some time since Rhinestone had made Tree his apprentice – or discens, nowadays – and although they had a couple of quick training sessions, it hadn't been anything substantial. Rhine intended to remedy that, especially since he had finally gotten used to the new body that he had come to inhabit. He had been reluctant to train with his son before, not wanting to make a fool of himself by stumbling over his own paws and falling on his face during a fight, or a hunt. However, he had gotten used to the world being bathed in a tinge of pink and red, and he had grown used to his now long and gangly limbs, and he felt as though he was ready.

It took some time for him to figure out where Tree was, considering the canine was a little hard to pin down. Thankfully, his search eventually brought him to near the boardwalk, which wasn't all that much of a surprise. It was where Quasar and Tree had come from, after all. Once he caught sight of the rather plain pup – at least in comparison to his eye catching and bright brother – Rhinestone smiled and called out, "Tree! Do you have a minute?" Growing closer, the feline let his tail flick from side to side, following up once he was able to take a seat, "I was wondering if maybe you wanted to do a bit of training today. I know it had been a bit since we've had a proper mentor and discens session, and I feel bad about that." Not to mention the fact that he just enjoyed his son's company. After all, what kind of father wouldn't?
