pawsteps thick and heavy, eyes tired and void of energy, head drooping as they shook sleep from their bones. yawning, the kingpin stretched, looking outside the mouth of their den at the slight snow dusting the island. shaking their pelt free of the linings of their nest, they stepped outside, the cold brittle chill of the snow seeping into their paws, claws shivering in their sheaths at the bite. gods above, it was too cold to step onto. thank gods that they were relying on their jaguar body for the most part now a days. pacing outside and taking to the bank after a long jump over the waters encircling the small 'isle' that they called home. climbing up the hill, looking out at the dock and the snow encircling it, they gave a deep rumble of release, pacing up the hill after merging to the path.
hearing the sounds around them, they looked up as they heard the sound of laughter, watching children racing about the boardwalks of the cliffside housing, their gaze warm as they observed the youths playing what seemed to be a game of tag. humming as they came to the top of the hill, they turned to look at the inn with a chuckle before waiting for the children to come running up the path from the cliffside housing. "good morning, little ones. what were you playing just now? it looked like a lot of fun![b]", they murmured, nodding as the children looked to one another before answering that they were playing a game of tag. thanking the children as they took off for the inn, the kingpin smiled as they watched the children go. following after the children more slowly, they took into consideration the event going on recently, humming to themself, "[b]well, this is a unique time. why not spice it up a little?", they murmured to themself, tail curling in thought as they entered the inn.
sitting down before one of the tables, the kingpin let out a call, "alithians! let's play a game!", when others came out of their rooms or looked over to them, they smiled, "let's play a game of tag and capture the flag, but with a twist. whoever is 'it', and whoever they tag, becomes a 'monster'! those who running from the monster and their teammates will have a piece of fabric that they must protect. players can try to sabotage their teammates, and should the monsters catch them, they give up their piece of fabric and become a monster and take down the remaining players! we will be racing as well! we are starting here at the inn, and we will be racing to the mid lake towers! feel free to do whatever you wish, as long as you do not hurt one another.", they announced, looking around, "feel free to ask any questions you might have! here are the pieces of fabric, i'll start off as the first monster unless someone else would like to!", they grinned.
