    heya! welcome to the site!

    a posting template is something that can make your post quite fancy! right now i'm using one to justify/narrow the text margin, although it's not that obvious! for example, you can see a few of mine (and some profile templates) within this topic. feel free to steal a few and try them out! you'll find a lot more free/premade post templates within the 'artist loft' board right here.

    here's how to use one! see this code?

    Code:
    [div style="margin: auto; background-color: #2D3956; max-width: 625px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; color: #000; padding: 3%; margin-top: 85px; border: 4px #455372 solid;"][align=center][div style="background-image:url(https://i.imgur.com/vabyWBH.gif); background-size: cover; background-position: center; height: 165px; width: 165px; margin-top: -110px; border-radius: 100%; border: 4px #455372 solid;"][/div][/align][div style="margin: auto; background-color: #455372; max-width: 600px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; color: #dce0e2; overflow: auto; padding: 6%; margin-top: 10px;"]

    [/div][/div]

    it doesn't look like much, but that space in between '[div style=]' and the ending '[ /div]' is where you can insert text!

    for example, here's what it would look like when you put text in the code:

    Code:
    [div style="margin: auto; background-color: #2D3956; max-width: 625px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; color: #000; padding: 3%; margin-top: 85px; border: 4px #455372 solid;"][align=center][div style="background-image:url(https://i.imgur.com/vabyWBH.gif); background-size: cover; background-position: center; height: 165px; width: 165px; margin-top: -110px; border-radius: 100%; border: 4px #455372 solid;"][/div][/align][div style="margin: auto; background-color: #455372; max-width: 600px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; color: #dce0e2; overflow: auto; padding: 6%; margin-top: 10px;"]
    Arcu non odio euismod lacinia at quis. Quisque non tellus orci ac auctor augue mauris. Integer enim neque volutpat ac tincidunt vitae semper quis. Ut etiam sit amet nisl. Risus nullam eget felis eget nunc. Massa sapien faucibus et molestie ac. Interdum posuere lorem ipsum dolor. Adipiscing elit duis tristique sollicitudin nibh sit amet commodo nulla. Id neque aliquam vestibulum morbi. Et pharetra pharetra massa massa ultricies mi. Duis at tellus at urna condimentum mattis. Nec ultrices dui sapien eget. Orci a scelerisque purus semper eget duis at tellus. Ultrices tincidunt arcu non sodales neque sodales ut. Egestas purus viverra accumsan in. Tempus quam pellentesque nec nam. Nisi quis eleifend quam adipiscing vitae proin. Arcu felis bibendum ut tristique. Egestas erat imperdiet sed euismod nisi porta lorem mollis aliquam.
    [/div][/div]

    and then the end result would look like
    [align=center][div style="background-image:url(https://i.imgur.com/vabyWBH.gif); background-size: cover; background-position: center; height: 165px; width: 165px; margin-top: -110px; border-radius: 100%; border: 4px #455372 solid;"]
    Arcu non odio euismod lacinia at quis. Quisque non tellus orci ac auctor augue mauris. Integer enim neque volutpat ac tincidunt vitae semper quis. Ut etiam sit amet nisl. Risus nullam eget felis eget nunc. Massa sapien faucibus et molestie ac. Interdum posuere lorem ipsum dolor. Adipiscing elit duis tristique sollicitudin nibh sit amet commodo nulla. Id neque aliquam vestibulum morbi. Et pharetra pharetra massa massa ultricies mi. Duis at tellus at urna condimentum mattis. Nec ultrices dui sapien eget. Orci a scelerisque purus semper eget duis at tellus. Ultrices tincidunt arcu non sodales neque sodales ut. Egestas purus viverra accumsan in. Tempus quam pellentesque nec nam. Nisi quis eleifend quam adipiscing vitae proin. Arcu felis bibendum ut tristique. Egestas erat imperdiet sed euismod nisi porta lorem mollis aliquam.

    but what about putting it as a preset? well here's that too! go to your profile, go to the dropdown that says 'profile info', and then click on 'posting templates.' from there you can add/delete/edit posting templates. once you've added a blank post template, you can load the post template directly into the reply textbox by going into the new dropdown that should appear here! [note that you can't do this with the quick reply dropdown]

    i hope that explains it and if you ever need help coding, i'm here to help! there's also guides within the coding center that help with that!
