[font=trebuchet ms]The mountain loomed in the distance, its peak seeming all the further away in her current condition. It was only right that the Magna appear in both camps from time to time, and it had been a while since she showed her face in the mountain camp, so she ought to do it sooner rather than later.

At the moment, though, Rin stood in the streets of the sea town, a couple hours' journey separating her from her destination. Staring at the peak, she felt her ears flatten back, thoughts of the journey weighing on her bones. Being far past her prime was odd to think about, considering how it seemed like yesterday that... she had been so young.

      One step at a time.

Resolved, Rin set her eye on the peak, and took a step forward-

-only to slam face-first into a pile of snow.

A confused yelp escaped her as she slipped and fell, tumbling down a slope that she was sure hadn't been there yesterday. Rocks and twigs scratched at her as she rolled past, snow-soaked dirt clinging to her, but none of it granting her any purchase on the slope. Out of the debris she fell, into the empty air.

      Stop.

She halted herself in midair, still spinning but no longer falling, held up by telekinesis. Then, righting herself, she glanced around wildly. Behind her was... the mountain? What? She couldn't deny the snow and dirt stuck to her pelt, but how had she arrived here? Her insides felt out of alignment, her stomach in her throat, her heart orbiting her lungs. Had she walked all the way here and just... forgotten about it? Had she detached again? No, she couldn't have- this route made no sense to take. Shutting her eye, Rin swallowed, waiting for the nausea to die down.

That crow, with his pals... he had the ability to teleport.

She reopened her eye, breathing more steadily now. That... was possible, and basically the only hypothesis that couldn't be dismissed. Glancing towards the dock, she twitched her whiskers. If she wished she was back there, would she return there? There weren't any sheer slopes to tumble down from, fortunately.

Focusing on the dock, she took a step in midair-

-and found herself staring at the dock as she fell into the water.

The sting of the salt in her nose was an improvement over having almost died, for sure, and more importantly her hypothesis was supported by two incidents instead of just one. Expelling the water from her lungs with a spluttering cough as she hauled herself back up onto the dock, she rolled over onto her back and stared up at the sky.

Could she teleport more precise distances? Or, more precisely, could she do it now if she weren't too dizzy to stand? With a sigh, Rin let her eye wander in the direction of the mountain. She'd just walk back- a couple hours was fine, if the alternative was risking death.

/tl;dr: teleportation accident results in Rin nearly falling off the mountainside, followed by Rin taking a spill into the ocean, so now she's just lying on the dock feeling sick but still having achieved something

    CLONY
[ age mover of the oblivions ]

The powers around here? Clony didn't really get them. The powers that they were used to were growing to large sizes, altering time and space, shrinking, getting green gloop all over themself so they either stuck or bounce to surfaces. Normal stuff. Around here? Clony had seen someone breathe fire the other day. Absolutely wild. The bat couldn't believe their eyes, watching that person roast their food before eating it. Not everyone here could do such a thing - Clony certainly couldn't and it's incident with starting a fire a few days ago showed it. However, Clony could hope and dream that one day, perhaps, it too would be able to spew fire from somewhere. It's mouth, far too small. Maybe from their ears? Clony wasn't certain. Wishful thinking it was, but wishing never hurt anyone.

Teleportation was also a power that Clony was not familiar with. Clony was used to the bumbling around of portals, portals that sometimes had removed their wings, allowed them to defy gravity, or become immune to crushing. Portals were typically a way to get from one point to another by crossing the vast expanse between the two in a far quicker fashion than any other. Teleportation was not something they had ever considered until their hop along the beach was interrupted. Shell searching, the bat wanted shells, it wanted to make a nice shell gun at some point. A gun that shot shells. Clony was pretty sure it could craft such a thing. Sure, its attempt to make a laser had backfired. Clony was fairly certain guns required no combustion. It was wrong, of course, but there was a far more pressing matter at hand.

"Uh, Miss Rin? You kinda just plopped into the water," Clony commented. A few strokes of stretchy wings allowed them to plop themselves on the dock. Grey talons carried them closer, hopping around their leader. "You alright?" They then inquired as one ear raised and the next lowered, giving them a curious yet concerned expression. Their large ears and pearly eyes, truly the only ways that Clony could accurately convey an emotion. Sure, their telepathic voice had reason behind it, but a physical appearance was always good to back up that from which came from bursting into someone's head unannounced. "You're soaked. You're gonna need a big laser to get all that water off," Clony continues, nodding their head with all the certainty in the world.

Whenever the mountain cat felt the call of the water, he often followed.  The ocean provided a peaceful place for meditation, so long as the day was clear.  Lavi had been sitting on the dock when a sudden splash caused his eyes to open sharply, chocolate gaze widening in bewilderment as Rin pulled herself up.

"Rin?" He had not even heard her approach the water.  How had she dropped in like that? Vaguely, a memory of his father stirred.  The young Jedi did not feel certain, nor particularly decided to care at the moment.  "Are you alright?"

"Clony," Lavi furrowed his brow in thought. "I dunno how to get a laser over here, but if you know where any blankets are, we could start with that."

[font=trebuchet ms]At the buzz of Clony's mental voice, Rin tilted her head to look up at them. So they had seen her fall into the water, though she wasn't certain if they'd seen her teleport there first. They wanted to know if she was alright- well, that was definitely a valid question, even if she was alive, breathing, and in one piece. She gave a slow nod, grateful not to sense any additional nausea at the motion.

Then they suggested creating a big laser to dry off. Dizzy or not, she had to shut this down. Rolling over onto her front, she fixed her gaze on them and stated, "I am fine. We absolutely do not need another laser." Enough of the territory had been burnt to cinders already, without further experimentation on a concept they didn't have the technology to safely explore.

Lavi's voice drew her attention away from Clony- the motion of shifting slightly to face him made her head spin, but she shut her eye until the wave subsided. "...Blankets would be appreciated," she said after a moment, reopening her eye. Shaking her head slowly, she added, "It was just a teleportation accident. I'm alright, just feeling a bit nauseous- a logical side effect, really." At least, she figured it was a logical side effect. She didn't know many individuals with the power to teleport, and most of them who did had been using the power long before meeting her, long enough that they would no longer suffer severe side effects.

    CLONY
[ age mover of the oblivions ]

Clony's ears gently twitched, watching the other nod their head. Pearly eyes watched as Rin combated the nausea so that she could roll over. They hopped on their feet, prancing a little bit off to the side. The leader was shooting down Clony's perfectly glorious idea! How absurd! Large ears lowered and a talon slammed against the dock in protest. "But- but the lasers!" Clony complained, their head swinging over to Lavi. They, too, commented about how the use of a laser would be absurd. Not being able to move one over here? The bat would have to scoff internally at such a thing. What kind of laser wasn't heavily mobile? Perhaps Clony would have rolled their eyes, if a pinch of concern wasn't still present and lingering over watching Rin splash into the ocean like a fish gasping for breath. Even if not intended. Teleportation, the term befuddled them. Pearly eyes had glanced to Lavi as if it would elaborate their confusion, but otherwise did not voice such.

Lavi then offered up for Clony to get blankets, instead. Not that Clony thought blankets were the solution to this situation. It was lasers. It always should be lasers. Grumbling, the bat shifted their light weight between grey colored feet. "Lasers would be way more efficient, even towels would be more efficient. I'm getting towels if I can find any, towels and blankets and a laser and towels," they complained. A flap of their wings raised Clony up into the air, a few more got them moving, and another couple launched them off. The bat returned not too long after, struggling with whatever cloths they'd managed to find. "Okay! I got the shit! I got all of the shit I could carry! It is all right here!" They ended pointedly, despite their cursing the bat's tone as hyped up as ever. Clony's grubby talons released their hold on the cloths, landing the cloths with a softened thud. Such prompted Clony to plop back on the dock, fluffy tail twitching rapidly behind them. Pride for fetching, pride for being helpful, albeit exhausted by their small size limiting how much they could carry and for how long.
