Thus far, traveling with Murdoc had been quite the interesting portion of 2D's life. The circumstances that had led to it hadn't been all that great – considering it had been his skull crashing against hard stone – but still, if Murdoc hadn't been there, 2D might've died. He wouldn't have had a chance of dying in the first place if Murdoc hadn't collided with him, but 2D never really thought about stuff like that, either too thickskulled or willfully ignorant. Either way, the lanky, blue furred feline had followed the canine from place to place obediently thus far, and hadn't deviated from that when they reached Elysium. He still wasn't sure why the other had decided they would stay here, but he found it was better to not try and question Murdoc's motives when it came to... anything, really. In all of his travels with the canine so far, the best answer he had received from the other on why he did things was "to make it big." He wanted to be big and important somewhere, and 2D supposed he could see why, even though he couldn't really understand it. He had never really been the type to seek out fame or importance, more than happy to just remain in the little hovel he had created for himself as a loner.
Still, no matter what the motivation, Murdoc had brought them here, and 2D was either too scared or too sentimental to leave the other's side. He knew it was stupid, becoming attached to someone you'd only known for maybe a month, especially someone who had injured you in the way Murdoc had 2D – even accidentally. But he couldn't help it. Murdoc was really his best and only friend for the moment, so he had just gotten attached over time. Despite this, the serval had sort've been under the impression that he and Murdoc would be living apart, considering everybody could have their own place within the little seaside town that Elysium had. Because of this, 2D had taken his bag and picked out one of the empty little seahouses, one with a mint green outside and light blue window shades. He slipped inside silently, away from the prying gaze of curious Elysites, wondering what the deal was with the serval with pure black eyes and blue fur. He would let Murdoc deal with them. He had always been the more charismatic of the two of them, despite his abrasive side.
Once he was inside the little house, 2D put his small bag on the ground, beginning to dig through it for his things. The first item he pulled out was his mask, running the pads of his paws over the face of the painted wooden clown mask before he put it down. He wouldn't need it right now, but it was useful to have. The mask was like a shield, protecting him from wary gazes and disturbed glares. The next thing he pulled out was his little bag of poppy seeds, putting them aside after a moment of contemplation over whether or not he needed one. He was fine, for now. The pain in his head was just a soft and dull ache, at least for the moment. The final items he pulled from his bag were a stack of old zombie movie tapes, pinched from various destroyed old human shops that he and Murdoc had stopped at. He had only been able to watch a few of them, but perhaps he could find a tape player to watch the rest of them at some point... oh. A soft squeak left 2D as he was suddenly lifted back by the scruff of his neck, his long legs flailing uselessly as he dropped the tapes he had been holding. At first he thought he was being attacked by one of his new "clanmates", but then he realized the scent behind him was familiar. His flailing made his lanky body twist around, a grunt leaving him as he fell onto his back when Murdoc let go of him. 2D glared up at Murdoc with dark and annoyed eyes, laying awkwardly belly up as he snapped at the canine, "Muds! What th'ell is wrong with you! I was tryin' ta unpack me stuff!"
