She didn't know Warringkingdoms well, but she doubted she would ever really learn to accept the odd feline sitting in Tena's place. Tena had been in charge pretty much since Straw joined, and had done an excellent job. The large crowds from a few days ago had driven Straw away from attempting to find out directly what was going on with the new Magna, but from what she'd heard, it hadn't been pretty.
Still, the market festival was supposed to start today, and as far as Straw knew, the Typhoon had yet to be invited. The Pitt also hadn't received an invitation, but Straw was inclined to think they would have to sit this one out. No one sounded especially enthusiastic about the idea of bringing them in, and while Warringkingdoms had said something the last meeting about checking to see if it was safe to invite them... it wouldn't do for the wounded Magna to drag herself all the way out there.
Straw had considered suggesting that they just cancel the festival, but if Tanglewood and the Halls had already been invited, and showed up to find that nothing was happening, that could be bad. Very, very bad. They were going to have to make this work, as much of a hassle as it was.
Deciding that she didn't feel up to talking to all the Typhoon members, Straw had opted to leave a small basket of flowers, with a paw-written note, on the border. Once the basket was set on the train tracks, Straw quickly turned and scurried off, before anyone else tried to stop her. She would return to Elysium, and determine what to do from there.
If one opened the note, it would read, The Typhoon is cordially invited to a market festival in Elysium territory, starting tonight. Stalls will be set up to barter food, maps, and other goods. There will also be games for everyone to play.
