Crowley takes in Aurum and Kiira's words with a nod. That made sense, he supposed. Didn't answer anything, but it's not like it changed anything. However -- conveniently. The sounds from the egg grow louder. Very carefully, Crowley stays where he is, as to not crowd .. whatever emerges.
And, after a long, still few moments .. holy shit, it's a dragon. Crowley has seen a few by this point, and he hasn't yet gotten used to it. As such, Crowley spends a long few moments staring at it as the others begin to debate what should be done. Though, He only looks up and starts as he sees Aurum look towards him, and attempts what he hopes is a reassuring smile. It's a little unsure -- more because Crowley hasn't ever tried to be reassuring in such a way before.
Maybe he should give his two cents. Crowley isn't an expert on .. infant child care, but he certainly had more in depth personal experience. Feza had a dragon form, and that was incredibly useful, but hers was .. secondary. Crowley's was too, technically, but that .. didn't exactly count when it invaded literally every aspect of his physical form.
"Dragons are ... reptiles, right?" Crowley asks, feeling out of his depth. They were as far as he could tell, scales and all. Crowley knows a bit about reptiles -- he wasn't much of one at the moment, but Crowley was a snake at heart. A demon snake, yes, but .. details. Crowley inherently just .. knew some things. Just not about eggs. "Speaking from a snake's perspective .. They're not mammals, so no milk. Reptiles usually eat the same as their adult counterparts. So Feza's pretty much right," He's not sure about the mushed meat part, but it .. might work? Crowley's not really sure how dragons compare to snakes, in all honesty. Snakes ate their prey whole -- there wasn't really room for them to choke. Defeated the whole point. .. Well. Crowley choked sometimes, but that was never in full snake form. Did other reptiles choke? Crowley, having otherwise calmed down since the hatching, is getting nervous again. "Is it .. is it coldblooded? Most are," Reptiles, he means. The implications were obvious -- if it was, then there should probably be some accommodations for that. It was awfully cold, and even Crowley, who had been around long enough to know how to handle himself, was spending a lot of time awfully chilly.
