GRIFFINGATE —

THE LIGHT TO THE DARKNESS

— HISTORY

With the world ridden with global warming, pollution, and destruction, the modern world has evolved. Over time, territories have found themselves gathering in the continents of Europe and Asia after their population had dwindled to a few million.

Once gathered as one nation named Kalopsia, now split into two after years of disagreement between the two countries. Even after his countless attempts to merge the country of Kalopsia back together, Frederick was unsuccessful in his efforts and eventually came to accept that another country was to rise. Even so, the other kingdom's ruler known as Prometheus kept the rebellion going. Countless members broke away from Europe and headed to Asia. Before Prometheus escaped with his new-born group, the male drove a sword through his old friend's heart, ending his life. The king that was to arise after Prometheus watched in horror and kept running, only to announce what Frederick had done when they arrived at their newfound home.

After the drama, King Frederick has thus created Griffingate. The dismay of losing half of his kingdom broke him, but for once, he had loyal subjects... or so he thought. Soon the propaganda from Blackfall would come, triggering a response from his kingdom.

— TERRITORY

Located within the depths of Europe, Griffingate thrives. They currently reside in France's peninsula. Surrounding the capital are the once inhabited countries, but also a vast forest and many other biomes to explore.

MAIN —
COLMAR, FRANCE — The capital. Griffingate's truest home.

GRIFFINGATE'S MEETING HALL — Located within the comfort of the capital lies a Greek-inspired city hall with long columns in the front. To reach the large door entrance, there is a large set of long, marble steps that must be surpassed. The inside, like the outside, is donned with marble at every corner. In the middle, there are seats for the audience to take that are surrounded by a circle of columns. Near the front lies a podium. This is where the majority of meetings will take place, but you may listen to these meetings in the comfort of your own home by radio, television, and more. These meetings are a public address for all to see.

GENERAL'S QUARTERS — Similar to the city hall, there lies another marble building next door. This is where the General where lay out battle plans, host boot camp, and make public addresses of war when the time comes. Underneath the building also lays the prisons where the prisoners of war will be stored.

HOMES — The majority of Griffingate live within apartments, also known as flats. Those within the flats stay within the inner cities where there are shops and tourist restaurants littered on every corner. Though, there are a select few who live in suburban houses on the outer edges of the nation if they choose to farm and provide resources for the nation.

THE RIVER — Twisting and turning throughout Colmar lies a riverboat route. More often than not, supplies from other groups travel through this area. Along with that, love boats are supplied for romantic rides.

Any other special and important spots will be edited here. Send @Orion a PM with a short description and he will add it accordingly.

— CULTURE

RELIGION — There is no specific religion specified. Citizens are free to practice whatever belief they prefer.

OUTLOOK ON MUTATIONS AND POWERS — Citizens within Griffingate are hesitant when it comes to mutations and powers. They are seen as an advantage that they do not have. Hence, they are shamed upon. Many European-natives do not have such magnificent powers as they were far from the nuclear destruction.

— HIERARCHY

After a long democratic rule, the government has decided to finally crack down into a more even and quicker moving hierarchy led by a sovereign and his heir.

SOVEREIGN - The leader of Griffingate and all of Europe.
Currently: Frederick, played by @Orion

VICE-SOVEREIGN - The heir to the sovereign.
Currently: Character, played by rper

GENERAL - Leads the sovereign's armies and handles all the ambassadorships.
Currently: Character, played by rper

CITIZENS - The normal workers of the clan.

PRISONERS - Those captured within war that will be stored in the General's Quarters for further review.

— RELATIONS

Recluse and resistant to gaining friends, Griffingate chooses it's allies wisely. As of right now, they have none, especially after their significant betrayal from Blackfall. For now, they are isolated and reluctant. In the future they may dive out for more helping hands.

CURRENT ALLIES: No one.

CURRENT RIVALS: The Blackfall.
