[this is way too long, so there's a tldr at the bottom!!]

Recent events had not been kind to Suiteheart. Firstly, Margaery's vampirism had returned. Secondly, her locket broke. This incident caused her grand secret to come into the open, and the light it cast upon her left her cold and dark. She hated herself for this, for all these things. She needed to do better. And she would.

So that's why she was on the move. After Lup's information, she had vowed to search even harder for her children. There were only so many places the souls could hide before she happened upon them. Suiteheart would find them. She would bring them home, and she would reunite her family. She wasn't doing it to be a hero; she was doing in order to be a survivor. Because if she were honest, she wasn't sure how much more she could take before she dropped dead.

These thoughts swirled in her head, making her feel odd. She decided to use this energy to propel her search for her children. She had traveled north and east already, so she was headed south. Surely, she would find something. She even carried a small bag with her that held the charm bracelets she had made for her kids in the event that she found them.

A sudden but far-off rustling sound caused her ears to perk, and she stopped moving. After having almost been ran over by Hazel's colt, she was not trying to be trampled today. She swiveled her head to the left, searching for the source of the noise. The scent that drifted to her was not that of the pony. No, it was something entirely different. In fact, the smell brought up a sense of dread in her, yet she could not tell why. 'What the hell could this be?' Suite wondered, trying not to let her curiosity get the better of her.

Despite her better judgement, she crept toward the sounds. Every fiber of her being demanded that she turn around, but she couldn't. It was as if she were drawn forward. Though she knew what she would come across would not be good, she could not stop herself; she had to be certain. She needed to exterminate the idea that was beginning to circulate in her mind.

'Not here,' she thought, a stern look on her face. 'There's no way.' It didn't seem possible, but maybe it was.

Glimpses of white fur could be seen here and there through the dense foliage that engulfed her. The trees around her made Suite think herself extremely small, but the creature ahead of her was massive. Panic arose in her chest as her true fears were realized: it was a bear.

It was not just any bear, however. No, it was a polar bear. She had no idea how this bear had gotten here, but it made her uneasy to even begin to think about. As her worry heightened, her vision began to darken. Her head was pounding. Suiteheart's legs almost gave out, causing her to stumble with a loud crash.

The bear whipped its head around, and Suiteheart's blue eyes grew wide with panic as she stumbled backwards. The mighty creature roared at her, taking a step forward. Before Suite could not see what happened next, for she hit the ground beneath her, unconscious.

---

Suiteheart blinked her eyes open, jolting upward. She had blacked out. Had the bear rendered her unconscious? And where... Where was that monster? The last incident with a bear had left she and her family absolutely scarred. Suite was more than thankful the creature had disappeared. And she knew she needed to get the hell away from here before it returned.

The female scanned the area around her, and she could not remember which way was home. And she could not recall how she had happened upon this place. Had the bear really frightened her that badly? No, it couldn't have... could it?

A bright pain stung her head as she tried to remember her fading thoughts. Suiteheart winced, pulling into herself, trying to escape the hurting sensation. No use. Her head felt like it was on fire. Burning. Burning.

Burning.

Lifting a paw upward to hold her head, she -

The observer froze in place. Her eyes widened as she moved her paw in front of her face to see it was truly changed... Her usually petite white paws were now massive. Jet-black claws jutted out of them too. She looked down at her form, begging and praying it was not what she thought it to be.

And yet it was.

Suiteheart had shifted into a polar bear.

"Change back, you fucking idiot!" she roared. This was her worst nightmare come true. To be stuck in a bear's body... This... No. How could her powers return to her only to betray her again? She cursed anyone and everyone she could think of. This wasn't fucking fair!

Maybe she just needed to concentrate. Suiteheart closed her eyes, and she waited. But nothing happened. There was no revising this mistake. There was no going back. She was stuck. "No. No. Nononononononono!" the usually calm and collected girl hollered. "I can't change back..." she murmured to no one, voice small and terrified for coming from such a formidable beast.

[tldr; suiteheart can shapeshift again, but she is bound to the body of a polar bear. she's very distraught because she doesn't know how to reverse this]

Luna had been out-and-about, like she was normally. She had noticed that Bastille was keen on following her during her early-morning patrols. She didn't mind one bit. He was her apprentice, he was just trying to be there for her and the female couldn't blame him- after all, Beck could return one day for more.

Upon feeling heavy paw-steps slightly shaking the ground around her, Luna would examine some more. "Hello? Is anyone there?"

Speak of the devil. It really was getting increasingly difficult for Lunafreya to leave camp without Bastille more or less stalking her, either because he had noticed the sudden absence of her aura and went to track her down or because he tagged along before she could escape him. He probably could have brought himself to feel some sort of shame about it, but he gave absolutely zero fucks. Luna had been endangered once, and Beck was clearly a hostile idiot willing to attack at random; why on the gods' earth would he give Beck a free shot at Luna if he didn't have to? Besides, he was constantly looking to escape camp anyway, so half the time Bast was already on patrol when he ran into Luna (read as: spotted her aura in the distance and immediately changed directions to catch up with her and scowl darkly over their border towards swamp county).

This time around, he had come trekking after her when he noticed she was leaving, and arrived just in time for someone to start roaring nearby. The corporal was tense and on alert for all of two seconds before he identified Suite's aura, and then he was simply confused as he ambled in front of Luna to investigate. It was clearly Suite, new form or no, and she seemed... distressed. "Suite? What the hell is that?"

Bastillepaw and Lunafreya were the first ones to witness what she had become. The pair seemed joined at the hip after Luna's capture, so she wasn't surprised to see them together. At their questions, her voice failed. She was stuck so far into her own head that their words barely even registered.

After a few moments of senseless and almost inaudible mutterings, she shook her head. "What the fuck does it look like?" she almost snarled to Bastille. The regret was instant. Her eyes widened, and she shook her head a few more times. "No, I didn't - I'm sorry. I'm just so unbelievably stressed out right now. This is absolute bullshit." Her jet-black claws scored the earth beneath her, but she didn't feel much better.

She looked then to Luna, who had not recognized her. "Luna, it's me. Suiteheart. I'm sorry if I scared you." A deep frown painted her snowy features. How had this happened, she wanted to ask them. She knew there was no way either of them could know the answer, so she remained silent. Neither of them had the ability to change her back, so there was no point in wasting her breath. Instead, she would just stew in anger.

It was the bond that brought her to the scene, tugging at her paws and pushing emotions that were far from her own onto her. She was not used to the connection between she and her wife again. Months had been spent alone and Margaery, in that time, had grown use to just herself once more. To deal with twice the emotion was certainly overwhelming but she had faith in herself- she'd grow adjusted and all would be well.

Or so she assumed.

Distress. Panic. Terror. Even slight hints of anger... They all coursed through her, causing her own emotions to turn sour and gray. She feared the worst as she neared the group, steps uncertain, breathing hitched. Suiteheart was obviously in trouble but... what could have gone wrong this time? Her locket had broken recently and now something else was happening? Either fortune had fled her wife or she had severely angered some ancient deity.

Regardless of hesitance, Margaery was determined to figure out what ailed her love. It was when she arrived and put together the pieces that her heart all but stopped. "No..." She whispered, Suiteheart's feelings gone now. All she could detect was ice cold horror practically ripping through her and with it, memories of a time where this same creature had put a stake through her heart. This thing was not the person she had pledged her undying affection to. This was a beast and Margaery could not be more frightened.

She took another step back, claws escaping their sheathes as if they'd offer any defense again the bear. Her fur stood on end now as well and she gulped, refusing to believe that this was happening again. "You're not..." A pause, "You're not my wife." The declaration tumbled out of her mouth in the form of shaky words, obvious anxiety lacing her tone. She wanted to run. She wanted to hide. Hell, she wanted to get as far away from this creature as possible. But she couldn't, not until she found out where the real Suiteheart was.

It was when the bear responded, snapping as Bast, that she found it in herself to move, a sudden rush of courage spiking within her as she bounded forward to place herself in front of him. "What did you do with Suiteheart?" She half-demanded half-begged, trying hard to be strong... trying but failing. "Give us back to us.. You aren't her." Tears pooled in the corners of her eyes, threatening to spill over any moment lest she calmed down.

"Give me my wife back.."

Oh, boy. Bastille could sense a sort of turmoil rolling off of Suite in waves, one that was far too chaotic and distressed to be just from the usual body mix-up confusion. No, he realized pretty quickly that there was something more here going on, something that he didn't entirely understand. It must have something to do with the past, of that much he was certain, and although he had no idea what was stressing her out so much about this situation, Bast made an effort to check himself. Clearly, the situation was more delicate than he'd originally thought, and he didn't want to stress Suite out more.

Margy's sudden appearance had his attention jerking to her, and he stared at her with vague confusion at the blunt certainty that this was not Suite. Obviously it was Suite. Even without being able to see her aura, he could have thought that Margy could recognize her own wife. He bit his tongue, however, reminding himself that something was up. He was about to respond to Suite, tell her not to worry about snapping, when suddenly Margy was in front of him and seemingly growing even more distraught.

"Whoa, hey, Margy," he said, gaze flickering between the two as he tried to figure out the best way to calm them both down. Suite was clearly upset but not deranged; Margy, on the other hand, was... confused, to say the least. Or in denial. Or something. Bast took a half step forward, pressing his shoulder lightly against her side in an effort to draw her attention away from the polar bear. (He made a note not to fully draw himself up even with her, choosing to stay a step or so behind her front paws so that she was still partially ahead of him. It was something he did with the acknowledgement that when he was trying to protect people, it drove him absolutely crazy when they decided to just wander up to the threat anyway; his careful positioning was to offer comfort whilst still letting her "guard him", so to speak.)

"Hey, hey, it's Suite-- Even if you don't believe her, her aura can't lie, okay? It's her, Margy," he said, keeping his voice even and his gaze training on her, as if willing her to look at him instead of at Suite. Gods, what the fuck had happened in their past to prompt this shit?
