jungle - elysium 'visit' - fulzanin - 07-28-2020 CLONY [ age mover of the oblivions ] When it came to making things, Clony knew many hard truths. Cut once, measure twice, was a very basic one and an ideology they followed well. Have a plan and stick to it, was another. The third most important one was, of course, supplies. Elysium sadly did not have the supplies for what Clony needed for their truly out of this world invention ideas. Something that simple would not deter the bat from what they sought. They could and would succeed, they just needed to work a little bit harder to get what they wanted. Clony knew about building, they knew about surviving a hostile wasteland, they knew how to solve and think a new plan up on the fly. They did not, however, understand the many groups that lived on the continent, or their rules. There had been no group where Clony hailed from, only an 'every creature for themself' mentality - unless one was a clone, and then it was 'survival of the one is survival of the whole'. Clony had never been trained in diplomacy. Frankly until they arrived in Elysium their concept of it was nonexistent. There had been no need for diplomacy when their mere existence meant fire from all sides of the field. They were beginning to learn. Beginning to learn, Clony knew, was the first step to being good at something. Promotion meant that they had a role to fill, and they were fairly certain that Rin would not be pleased with them if their words somehow managed to cause a whole group to be upset with them. Frankly their mind was still hung up with the aspect of there being different groups, not understanding why they couldn't all just band together. The same held true for where Clony had been made - for why all the animals didn't band together to overthrow the evils of their lands - but they had to digress. They had to focus on the here, even if the problems were similar and their comprehension was minimal. "Hello!" Came the bat's mental chatter the near instant that someone entered their field of view. The border? They didn't know where the border was. Clony hoped they were close to this 'border', because frankly their sense of smell was far too weak to actually pick the smell up. "I'm Clony! I wanted to know if you guys had any spare metal lying around that I could maybe take? I brought fruits with me!" They chattered, hopping on one foot, and then to the other, and then back again. Their eyes glistened with delight, waiting to see what sort of response would be given to them. Hopefully a 'yes', that their awkwardly constructed basket of fruits would be enough to allow this 'group' to depart with some of their junk metal. Or actual metal. Clony cared not what sort of metal they got - any metal could be crafted to work, and the idea of getting to work made them all the more excited. The fruits were a simple 'reconstruction' of the gifts that had been delivered to Elysium a while back, a replication of the act without fully knowing the reason behind it. Metal bending was something Delilah had learned during a desperate attempt in her previous body, having to find something to replace her missing fourth leg in her past felidae body. So the call for metal, telepathy causing antennae to rattle as the large wyvern stood up from her place where she had curled up comfortably in a patch of radioactive mud dandelions, blossoms sprouting at her toes as she stepped forward and crooned a soft greeting of welcome to the other bat. They looked.. Odd, to say the least. But she had seen things far more odd than them.
"Metal, you say? I'm sure we have some.. Do you need scraps? What kind of metal do you prefer? I have a few cans and harder metal that I used to use for prosthetics that could work?" tags - penned by [member=1260]ryuu-tan[/member] Re: jungle - elysium 'visit' - Luciferr - 07-28-2020

it seemed very odd to him to have an ally that didn’t seem to interact overmuch suddenly come requesting things - when he’d scented the unfamiliar scent he’d assumed it was another exchange of gifts, but eh, he didn’t know the current political environment so maybe this was the current rule. Fenris tilted his head ”not that I know of - most the metals here I end up using for smithing and the sort” he was a metal bender after all - and he did like using it to make gifts for his loved ones and friends - like Amunet’s gift or Vigenere’s crown. He’d have to do something for the others when he got to know them better - never hurt to have some armour ready after all. Re: jungle - elysium 'visit' - fulzanin - 07-29-2020 CLONY [ age mover of the oblivions ] Delight had to spring forth when they were greeted by not one, but two entirely new faces. Perhaps they should've been a bit worried considering the sheer size difference at play, but Clony had never really taken the size of anything into consideration. They were used to absurd odds. Besides, that worry had no need to even present itself, for they weren't even in danger for the time being. "Doesn't really matter what kind! I can use about anything, so whatever I could have would work!" Clony chattered, bouncing onto one foot. Prosthetic caught their attention, a sharp flick of their tail following suit. "But, uh, I think harder metal would work best," they then continued. Pearly eyes flickered to the second one to arrive. The first said there was plenty to spare, and now the second was saying that was not the case. Their ears twitched, a click sounding from their hidden mouth. Smithing? That was weapons and armor, was it not? Clony briefly wished that they had a dictionary on claw so that they could double check and be certain. "You make armor? That's cool! I'm building some stuff of my own! I got blueprints, I shoulda broguht them with me but they're not exactly finalized yet," Clony continued on, waving one fluffy wing in their typical sporadic mannerism. "'N that's what I need the metal for, if there is even any to spare. Kinda sounds like there is, bu there isn't, yea. I got mangoes!" Their attention spun and sputtered off, plucking one of the fruits from the basket as if somehow their comment would cause for more metal to simply phase into existence for them to take. The arrival of Fenris was welcomed with a low croon of a greeting from Delilah, lowering her head to let him speak. A tiny little smile on her face, the woman listening with a curt nod.
"If most of the scrap metal is gone due to smithing, I have a few harder pieces used for prosthetics. I'll go get them. Keep the little one company will you, Fenris? It won't take too long." The wyvern cooed softly, turning to race back to her treehouse. When she had come back, a small satchel full of metal that had been straightened out and molded into strips or blocks for the other. "Can you carry this, little one?" tags - penned by [member=1260]ryuu-tan[/member] Re: jungle - elysium 'visit' - wormwood. - 08-02-2020 It had been a little while since Aurum had seen Clony, since his last trip back to Elysium had been some time ago. He had begun settling into Tanglewood once again, more comfortable than ever as he slowly coped with and put Moth's death behind him – as much as the new presence of Nicabar made that difficult. As a result, he found himself needing an escape less and less, so he spent only a marginal part of his time up in the mountains of Elysium. He figured it wasn't that big of a deal, since they had certainly lived well without him before, and could do so again. He did miss some of the people there, though. Such as Clony, the small batlike beast being a particularly entertaining presence for Aurum. They reminded him of Feza in the way that they came up with elaborate plans, and that was by no means a bad thing, since it had just made the angel more amused and comforted by their presence. Although there were a few times where their behavior made the lion grow concerned, like when they went off on a tangent about lasers, or went rambling loudly while on a cave exploration mission – an event that still made him wince even now.
When the sound of Clony's telepathic voice entered his mind, the shaderunner found himself perking up with both interest, and confusion. Since Elysium and Tanglewood weren't the closest of allies – not even technically really being allies – Aurum hadn't expected Clony to show up on their borders anytime soon. It seemed as though he was wrong, as evidenced by the cheerful telepathic babbling that kept going on as the angel made his way over. Metal? Project? It sounded familiar to Aurum, in a way that made the lion's heart sink a bit. He had already tried to gently convince the bat that perhaps their blueprints wouldn't actually work in any practical way, but it seemed as though that hadn't really stuck. Aurum didn't doubt that the other had come from another world – it would be sort of weird to doubt that, considering he was an angel and had seen much crazier things before – but it hadn't seemed to click for Clony that things weren't really the same here as they had once been. For one thing, lasers were hardly as important as the other seemed to keep hyping them up to be. Hell, the angel had never seen a laser outside of scientific books, and they were nothing like the ones that the Elysite kept going on about. Making his way to Delilah's side, Aurum touched his tail gently against one of her wings in a silent greeting, before he turned his one eyed gaze towards Clony. Managing a small smile, the shaderunner dipped his head to them before he spoke, "Hey, Clony. I'm surprised to see you here... you said that you were here for metal?" He eyed the satchel that Delilah had brought back with her, somewhat wary about the dragoness indulging Clony's request. Briefly digging his claws into the shifting dirt beneath him, Aurum questioned with a tilt of his head, "I don't suppose this is for those blueprints that you were drawing up back in Elysium, is it...? The... robot thing?" He was fairly sure he knew what the answer to that question would be, but he wanted to give them a chance. Part of him wanted to point out that they had an entire scrapyard full of random junk that probably contained a bunch of metal, but he also didn't want to fully indulge them any further. Re: jungle - elysium 'visit' - fulzanin - 08-03-2020 CLONY [ age mover of the oblivions ] A happy click had broken free when Delilah had said that she was going to fetch Clony some metal that they could use. Their hopping briefly grew more feverish, unable to be restrained for a moment further. No voice other than the one they slung into the heads of other's meant that their joy had to be presented somewhere. Nearly the instant that joy or excitement fell into the bat's mind would they begin bouncing. Especially more so when the wyvern returned with the metal that they'd asked for. "Oh! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" They cheered, fluffy body hopping forth to inspect the scraps and blocks of metal that had been given to them. Then, Clony hopped back, grabbing the basket of fruits that they brought to 'trade with'. Such a term was used loosely in their mind. Trading had never been done before by their claws. It was new, and new was always exciting, and exciting meant even more bouncing and hopping. "I can probably carry it! I got this basket here so it shouldn't be too hard." They replied, their head dipping gratefully in response to the tangler's concern. Then came Aurum, which was quite a surprise to Clony. It was a bit hard for Clony to grasp all the separate groups on the continent, and that there were allies and enemies and things of that nature. It flew over their head, not that they really minded. Pearly eyes moved between the offered metal and the latest to arrive, fluffy tail swinging rampantly behind him. "Yea! Here for metal, brought fruits y'see." Swiftly they disposed of their first answer to the lion's question, and just as quickly began to blunder into the second. "You mean the walker mech? Kind of! Once Rin got me those blueprint papers I realized that I was gonna need a lot of wires. Still working on that. I'm doing something small scale first while I work on getting wires. When it's done I can show you!" Clony ends with a delighted chatter coming from their small mouth, ears perking up for a brief moment and then settling down once more. "Well, I didn't bring two baskets. Uh. Where should I put the fruits?" They ask, tipping their head upon finishing their inquiry. A happy croon left the woman's lips as the basket of fruit levitated off of the ground and floated over to her, forked tail lifting up off of the ground to grasp at the fruits given to her in exchange for the scrap metals.
The touch on her wing made her smile, already having discovered that it was Aurum's way of greeting her- she was the same, with her gentle touches against his wing and nuzzles against his cheek. Of course, when he had greeted her, she did the same, gently nudging the fluffy wings he had before turning back to Clony. "We have too much metal around here anyways.. Most of it goes to Fenris for his smithing. That much shouldn't hurt, should it?" tags - penned by [member=1260]ryuu-tan[/member] |
