a light upon the river's gloom | open, wt?, crow demonstrations - BLOODHOUND. - 07-08-2020

They had not completed their weekly task. What they had done, was lay in their home during the day, idly training their birds, practising. They'd had every intention, of going out and completeing it, to show how smart their companions were, their willingness to learn, but. They days had slipped away, with the heat and their mourning. And the nights were full of their hunting, their offerings to the Allfather,  offerings to those that still remained here. Breaking into Caustic's home to find it empty and bare, save for cages in the basement and a broken machine.

They were heading outside more and more, as of late now, a few crows quick to follow. Perhaps they were looking out for them. Perhaps it was the Allfather, acknowledging their aching heart.

Whatever it was, they appreciated it.

The arctic wolf headed to the town square, purpose in their steps. They waved one of the crows over with their tail, the dark bird landing upon their shoulder.

"I am going to be displaying the capabilities of my corvid companions, here. All are free to gather, and watch, if you wish."

It wasn't much of an announcement, but they'd hope it would draw a crowd.
THE TRUE TEST IS BEFORE THE ALLFATHER.

Re: a light upon the river's gloom | open, wt?, crow demonstrations - DELILAH. - 07-08-2020

DELILAH EVERGARDEN
"The Gods have forsaken us."
"A show, huh? They look beautiful."

Delilah cooed as the dragoness walked over, aching joints pulling as she moved to try and push herself up onto a higher place just to watch. Settling her head on the ledge of the small fountain. Her forked tail flicked behind her, curling and dipping into the water behind her.

"Show us the beauty of nature, *caraid."

*Translation: "caraid ; friend". gaelic.

Aurum's grief over Ivan's disappearance was not insignificant, considering he missed his nephew dearly, but he was fairly sure he couldn't begin to imagine how Bloodhound was feeling. The hunter and Ivan had been an odd pair of kindred spirits, and while the lion had initially been somewhat hesitant about Bloodhound's odd beliefs and behavior, Aurum had come to understand, and respect them. As such, he had approved of Ivan and Bloodhound's relationship, if only because it meant the boy had a proper mentor and friend figure in his life. Unfortunately, that had all been cut short with the other's disappearance, and now they were left to pick up the pieces. At the very least, it seemed as though they had tasks to do in order to keep themselves busy, and the angel wanted to make sure that Bloodhound's efforts to continue training his corvids hadn't all been a waste, in the end. Besides, it could be an odd sort of tribute, to the bird that Bloodhound had lost, not so long ago.

Making his way over to where the canine had announced his show, the former proxy came to a stop beside Delilah, sitting down and making himself comfortable. After clearing his throat, the lion spoke simply, a kind smile curled upon his golden muzzle, "I'm excited to see what they're able to do, Bloodhound." He had no doubt that, with Bloodhound's innate talents with nature, they'd be able to put on a rather impressive show.

Re: a light upon the river's gloom | open, wt?, crow demonstrations - VIGENERE CIPHER. - 07-12-2020

Vigenere had given Bloodhound this task mostly because he was curious himself; the wolf seemed to attract crows like fleas and it was rather intriguing. He didn't take it personally, though, when Bloodhound hadn't done it the week it had been assigned; after all, they had been rather busy with other things, and besides, it was just something to do in their own time.

"Let's see them." Vigenere chirped as he came to sit next to Aurum, giving Bloodhound a small, encouraging nod.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]
