GUILLOTINE • group therapy. - DELILAH. - 07-06-2020

DELILAH EVERGARDEN
"The Gods have forsaken us."
Delilah had long achieved her peace when Renegade had left her, no reason given- he just disappeared in the night. Flint disappeared soon after, and Delilah went to try and find her son. Her beloved son.. Adopted or not, her baby.. Her precious baby was nowhere to be found.

..Maybe she had yet to achieve her own peace. Maybe it was time to talk about it.

With everything going on in Tanglewood, mental health was so important- Delilah knew she had to do something to try and help. Some way to make her clanmates feel loved. To assure them that they are indeed, never alone. They are wanted.

So there she stood, unusually loud voice echoing as she called out to everyone. Snacks surrounded her, home cooked meals from her own kitchen; cookies, pies, chicken pot pie, and several other things. Leroy loved her cooking, she remembered. So did Flint, as much as he didn't want to admit it. Renegade had told her that he was smiling as he ate despite the words he spoke- being blind made it hard to believe, but it was true.

"Everyone gather around. I want to have a group therapy session. Here, you can talk about your issues without judgement. All personal feuds are put aside to communicate. As a family, we are here to make sure that everyone is safe. Sometimes, it's hard to deal with grief when something huge like this happens. So please, come and join. Or sit and eat, you don't have to talk. It's good to listen. You can read a poem, or speak about an experience you had that you feel made a huge impact on your life. Or maybe talk about what's on your mind.."

Delilah was here for her Tanglewood members, even if she wasn't good at talking about her own issues.

While a part of Aurum wanted to argue that he didn't need therapy, considering he had already taken a significant amount of time for his own grief and emotional turmoil, he also knew that part of him would be wrong. Despite how much he had grown and changed in the short month that he had been absent from Tanglewood, he knew that all wasn't necessarily well. He had still lost Moth, one of the most important people in the world to him, right after he had lost Feza, someone who – while they had butted heads quite a bit in the past – he considered to be one of his best friends. In fact, part of the reason why the former proxy was doing as well as he was, was because of Delilah herself. The soft pink dragon was one of his closest and oldest friends, and although he had long ago come to terms with her disappearance to go seek out Flint, seeing her once again within Tanglewood had hardly been a negative. Her sudden reappearance in his life had filled his heart with an ache, but it was an overwhelmingly pleasant ache. An ache that simply yearned for the old times, when he had been younger, and Tanglewood had been newer.

The thought of spilling all of his messy and irrational emotions in front of the rest of the group filled him with anxiety, particularly because he still wanted to maintain at least some level of respect, but he didn't have the heart to outright refuse. Delilah had obviously gone through a great deal of effort to put the event together, if the overwhelming scent of delicious cooked food was anything to go by. So, in spite of the little voices in his head trying to caution him away from such an event, the lion found himself padding over anyways, sitting down beside Delilah. Gently nudging her with one of his large and colorful wings, Aurum rumbled simply, "Hey, Del... I'll be happy to stick around. And maybe talk, if everyone isn't too bored of listening to me." The lion chuckled softly, offering Delilah a little smile of comfort. Even though she was hosting such a kind event for everyone else, he knew that she had her fair share of hardships as well.
