Finally time to get this taken care of! Here's the sign-ups/try-outs for all high position and semi-high positions of The Horde! Keep in mind that the Rosencrantz Family is also open to sign-ups/making your own oc under their name!!

The Horde is a group of mercenaries led by a vampiric family. The group parades itself under the banner of knights and the responsibility of a sovereignty, where they claim honor is an important virtue yet it is something that they will easily throw away if it means a bit of coin.

The only requirements are that you remain active as an HP. Tryouts will close on June 26th and will be announced In Character as well as in The Horde's Discord.

THE AVAILABLE RANKS:
Grand Marshal — [1 slot] - The second in command of The Horde and is responsible for most battle choices and declarations of conquest or war. A political figurehead who is trusted to deal with any problems that may arise.
Apothecary — [1 slot] - Medically trained professional responsible for the health and wellbeing of the group, also seen as someone trained in magic.
Apothecary's Student — [2 slots] - Herbalist novices training under the Apothecary in the field of medicine, surgery and magic.
Knight Captain (noble) — [1 slot] - The individual responsible for the training and accomodation of the Knights under the Rosencrantz Family's name and those of The Horde. Known alternatively as the enforcers of justice in the group and take no shit from anyone. They are entrusted with The Horde's best interests.
Master Adventurer (noble) — [1 slot] - The individual responsible for ensuring those under The Horde's care are well-cared for and well-kept with supplies of food, arms and housing. They oversee the Marketplace and any merchants that enter or exit Fort Crom.

Khal Karstark of the Cinnamon Khalasar hates carnivores. A dragon ate his mother. A cannibal ate his daughter. A vampire turned his son into a parasite. Now? This stallion bites back.

INTRODUCTION

The Cinnamon Khalasar, Dothraki-inspired herd of herbivores, roams vast prairie lands bordering the Grand Canyon. Named for the Cinnamon Forest to the north of their lands, this nomadic herd runs for themselves.

The Cinnamon Khalasar rejects the sedentary lifestyle of agriculture, seeing it as an affront to their primary deity, Gaia, the personification of the Earth. Instead, they embrace a strictly vegan existence, sustaining themselves on the bounty provided by the prairie, the forests, and the rivers surrounding the Grand Canyon. The Lachrymose River, winding its way through the Grand Canyon and with its network of tributaries, serves as their lifeline: water. While the Cinnamon Khalasar is nomadic, their camps are carefully situated along these waterways, ensuring access to vital resources.

Spirituality plays a pivotal role in the lives of the Cinnamon Khalasar. They adhere to a belief system rooted in the ancient Greek pantheon, with Gaia as their supreme deity. Reincarnation is a central tenet of their faith, shaping their worldview and sense of morality. This belief in the cycle of life and death influences their relationships with other creatures, especially their reverence for herbivores and wariness of carnivores.

While they are known for their hospitality toward herbivores, the Cinnamon Khalasar approaches relationships with omnivores with caution. Trust must be earned, and only then will they forge alliances or accept outsiders into their fold. Carnivores, however, are viewed with hostility and fear, as the Cinnamon Khalasar is majority prey species. Anyone who is sentient and choses to kill to eat is automatically untrustworthy. Any predator incapable of talking and reason is untrustworthy.

Therefore, the Cinnamon Khalasar has a reputation for fierceness and bravery.

LAWS OF THE CINNAMON KHALASAR

— The Khal’s word is absolute. Disobeying their word is under punishment of death.
— Carnivores are to be killed on sight. Regardless of whether they can talk or not. This also includes anyone discovered to be a vampire.
— Omnivore species are considered untrustworthy. Outsiders seeking to join will have to prove themselves harder than an herbivore, and an omnivore outsider seaking to trade with the Dothraki might find the prices higher than expected.
— Discrimination amongst herbivorous species is outlawed. However, the Dothraki are traditionally majority equine.
— Sexual violence is forbidden.
— All BoB rules apply OOCly and ICly.

KARSTARK ADOPTION FORM

The Karstark family head is Khal Edd Karstark, who is the leader of the Cinnamon Khalasar. I play him and his granddaughter, Zedd Karstark, who is also a ranked equine in the Cinnamon Khalasar. Thus, I am adopting out their family members!

WHO IS AVAILABLE TO BE ADOPTED:
- Khal Edd Karstark's children (ages would be 1-12 years old)
- Khal Edd Karsark's grandchildren (ages would be 1-6 years old)
- Zedd's mother is dead as hell and her father will be killed ic soon, but you can adopt a half-sibling of hers (her mom is a zebra, her dad is a zorse). She's Khal Edd Karstark's favorite grandchild (but that is subject to change in character if she fucks up or a better grandchild trots along)

SPECIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Horse or anything that can reproduce with a horse (like a zebra). Any horse "breed" or sub-species is fine. Khal Edd is a Lipazzaner. Zedd is a zebra. It's all good.
- If you want a horse x funky species, hybrid item required!! I will not let those be direct children of Khal Edd Karstark (he would not be THAT horny on main) but they can be his grandchildren

REQUIREMENTS/RULES:
- Your character must stay in the Cinnamon Khalasar unless 1) you get permission from me to have them leave, 2) they die in character, 3) Khal Edd Karstark exiles them in character.
- Do not make them a vampire or carnivore equine. Khal Edd Karstark has already proven he will kill his own family if they become carnivores/vampires, so I don't think that'll be a fun plot.
- The form can be as detailed or minimal as you want. Quality over quantity! But these are not first come first serve, and I may deny applications that don't fit unhinged horsey vibe, though you can def use a character I deny for the Karstarks as a non-Karstark in the Cinnamon Khalasar.

Meteor, the new pharaoh of the Descendants, is looking to fill out the ranks! The vice-leader (vizier) and religious mouthpiece (inquisitor) ranks are not available for sign-up, but these ranks are often chosen from the ranks which are available for sign-up.

INTRODUCTION

Upon this volcanic island three kilometers off the mainland lives a carnivorous society. Mainlanders call them cannibals. They call themselves the Descendants of the Departed.

The Descendants of the Departed embrace the cyclical nature of existence. Death is but a gateway to rebirth. Destruction paves the way for creation. Birth ends in death. And nothing created, no matter how lovely the art form, is eternal. Thus, their two deities, Requiem of Creation and Vayu of Destruction, represent this duality.

Mainlanders call them cannibals because they devour their dead. This ritualistic act is believed to transfer the karma of the departed to the living. By ingesting the bodies of their loved ones, friends, and worthy individuals, they ensure a favorable reincarnation. To allow a worthy individual to rot wastes this karma and, possibly, means their loved one or friend may reincarnate as a not-sentient coconut crab. Thus, the Descendants of the Departed believe in an eternal cycle of souls and the act of cannibalism assists in this cycle.

However, they also recognize the power of Vayu, the destroyer. When one of their own is deemed unworthy of rebirth, they perform a solemn ceremony, casting the body into the molten magma. This act symbolizes the soul's annihilation, freeing it from the constraints of the physical realm and granting it a final release.

The Descendants of the Departed believe in the interconnectedness of life and death, of creation and destruction, of the ebb and flow of energy which shapes the world. The Descendants view themselves as guardians of this delicate balance and strive for harmony between Requiem and Vayu.

CONGREGANTS OF GENESIS

Congregants of Genesis is a religious group that focuses on worshipping Neandryne, the God of change, while living in a boreal forest that is surrounded by cold, snowy conditions and dangerous glacier cliff that drop into a dangerous ocean.

HISTORY

For many years, Congregants of Genesis have worshipped Neandryne, the God of change. They have slaved away at pleasing them and their many incarnations throughout many generations. As of recent though, their God's latest incarnation hasn't shown up, leading them to believe the previous incarnation has passed. Even so, as time goes on, the group worries. When will their God show their face once again?

Under the lead of Montgomery Scarborough, the archon is determined to make things right and bring their God back to the Congregants of Genesis. Desperate times may call for desperate measures.

LEGATE — Below the archon is the legate. They are the archon's trusty right hand and are next in line to lead upon the archon's retirement. Like the archon, their word is absolute and can only be overridden by the archon.

THE INTRODUCTION.

Chapter One
◦━ The Aeternas are an ancient family of mages. Through the ages, they have mostly kept to themselves, practicing their sorceries in secret away from the watchful eye of the greater groups. Until now.

There was, shall we say, a change in leadership.
Now guided by the light of Nokstella's inner star, the Aeternas follow her guidance, her word. They have begun to infiltrate the outside world, ascending from the depths of their caves, their underground lairs. Intent on learning the incantations, the forbidden magiks of the Others.

Indeed, they have been kept hidden for too long. But times are changing.
So too shall they.

THE HISTORY.

Chapter Two -
The Aeternas, for as long as their scrolls record, have always operated under a royalty system.
A partriarchy. Until now.

The last true monarch was Nok.
He was, for the most part, a fair and just leader. He valued honor above all, and thus came their rules. But his brother did not.

Of what the scrolls tell us, Nok's brother was either never named, or his name was forbidden.
He was violent, and cruel, and unjust in any way one could imagine.
Above all else, he wanted to rule.
Nok compromised, for the safety of the family. He offered his nameless brother a place at his side, but that didn't satisfy the Nameless One.

It happened under the night of the falling star.
Nok was struck down by a poison that none of those proficient in medicine could identify.
He left no children, which meant that the Nameless One was his heir... And, well, you know what' happened next.

The Nameless One changed the rules; no longer did the Aeternas value "Honor Above All". They became crueler, more wicked, as time progressed.
Some of the rules were lost to the ages, scrolls burned, but not all.

Nokstella was the one, hundreds of years later after Nok had become less than a legend, to restore the Age of Honor. She believed the legends when no one else would and, guided by thestars, she challenged her father for his place as Pulsar.

She won.

THE LORE.

Chapter Three -
The story goes that the Aeternas were originally formed by the union of the sun and the moon.
The sun and the moon had thousands of children; the stars.

Little is known of the stars, in truth. Only that the greatest of the stars swallowed several of their siblings into their midst, forming the constellations, which gave them power.

This power is believed to have been harnessed by the first of the Aeternas. Primitive beasts who could not think for themselves; the constellations power changed that.
The Aeternas grew powerful; too powerful. They were a threat to the outside world, those that could not harness such power, those that the constellations shunned.
The Others formed an alliance to vanquish the Aeternas.
They were surrounded.

With no victory insight, those that survived the battle fled; some joined ranks with the Others, some ran into the forest, some fled into the caves.
All that is known, is that the Aeternas were gone.
It was victory for the Others.

Or so they thought.

THE RULES.

Chapter Four -
◦━ 1. The Pulsar’s word is law. There is no room, nor time, for questioning their rule and authority.
◦━ 2. Do not attack another family member. If faced with another Aeterna in battle, you are to turn and find another opponent. Harming another member of the family will result in exile.

They are regarded as a sort of royalty, that of a prince or princess, and have a lot of authority within the family, though not as much as their parents. Sorbet is the Quartermaster of The Typhoon. He is a Maine Coon ice cream cat. His form takes the shape of a Maine Coon but his fur is all made out of ice cream. He currently resides in the Typhoon and has made a home for himself there along with his brother Sherbet. Along with this Sorbet is a newly turned vampire!

Long before Sorbet had joined the Typhoon he used to roam the lands by himself. He would soon meet the father of the litter and the two would fall in love but things quickly turned sour for the couple. The father would become very abusive and manipulative with Sorbet. Sorbet ends up falling pregnant with the litter and around when they are 4 months he tries to kill the kits so they would not have to live with the father. He had assumed that it had worked and fled in the night where he would soon find himself in the Typhoon. But he had not been successful in his attempt. You can come up with how your child survived from here.

- The main plot I have right now is that Sorbet finds out about the kits and will react badly to seeing them. If you would like feel free to dm me on here or through discord and we can plot something out between them if you would like.

- Sorbet will not be fatherly towards the kit and will actively try to avoid them but I am open to him eventually growing fond of the kit and working towards mending their relationship. If you would like this please dm me.

Clove is a Acolyte of the PITT. She is a jaglion hybrid with a mane mutation and a double tail mutation. Their pelt is a mix of red and orange hues, mimicking that of a sunset almost. He also has orange spots across his body from the jaguar in him. They are non-binary and use all pronouns but typically use she/her or they/them. Clove is an assassin with an affinity for poison making and is almost always seen making a poison of some sorts. Ref

She hadn't meant to bump into him but they had just finished up the job and had been on the lookout for something to do to relax after something that was so mentally taxing to her sometimes. She wandered into a bar where they would meet the father. After one too many drinks the two would wander off to somewhere alone and the rest was a blur.

Sherbet and Boots danced around each other both before and after Sherbet became the Captain. Both having held interest in each other, several dates later, and even Boots having a completely different body, the two decided to have a litter since reconstruction was going so well.

They will be born cats. They can be any kind of domestic cat breed so long as they keep the flavor they are. They don't HAVE to resemble either parent! Any kinda candy or extra bits are also allowed, like candy scarves/manes, bits of strawberry, pieces of fruit, etc.

Howdy, howdy, it's finally time to fill in the empty spots of the Typhoon's leadership! Each position will have a description of what they do, as well as how many spots are open. Without further ado, here's what we got.

? Quartermaster -- The second in command and the equivalent of a deputy. They enforce the laws and may hold raids and events as well as accept any alliance-based invitations or ideas from members of the clan. They assist and advise the Captain. Referred to as "Quartermaster Name."

? Soothsayer -- Assistant deputy / the head of the Necro Mambas and the division overseer for it. They are the top healers that focus on strengthening the group through medicine. They are allowed to hold medical events as well as accept any alliance-based invitations or smaller ideas from crewmates. They may also hold funerals as well as weddings. Referred to as "Soothsayer Name."

? Reavers -- The highest role that one can achieve before deciding what their main division specialty will be to improve Typhoon as an assistant deputy. The reavers are known as members that have proven their worth many times and can be the general overseer of the lower ranks, creating mini-meetings to ensure that the lower ranks are doing their job. They may accept ally invitations for events and small ideas from crewmates and create raids/attacks.
