and no one knows | joining - pallid-i - 11-20-2018

There were faint tremors near the border of Tanglewood. The source of the tremors was an odd sight to behold. It seems a dragon and a cow had a joyous union, and this was what resulted from it. The creature was massive, but she seemed to be conscious of where she stepped, as she kept looking at her feet and narrowly avoiding some plants.

Amhika stopped right at the border and took a seat rather awkwardly. Her cheeks heated up and she curled her tail around her claws and flattened her ears. While she was a patient person, she was quite nervous and just wanted to get things over with. She would get even more nervous if people stared, but hopefully that wouldn't happen. After a couple of minutes, the hybrid mooed. It was an interesting sound. There were gravelly undertones to it. It was like there were growls mingling with it.

Re: and no one knows | joining - KLIMENT - 11-20-2018

Kliment had been keeping a close eye on his kill, he could already see flies flocking around it though his jaws simply parted as he ripped off one of its small scaley limbs. He bit down until he could hear a satisfying crunch yet the sound seemed to be slightly deafened as a different sound made the beast pause in eating his meal. He slowly made his way forward with both rabbit-like ears perked forward in the direction of where he had heard the sound, his nostrils flared though without much hesitance he finally found himself looking at an odd skeletal structure. This one was much larger than any other animal he had ever seen before. The sound it had made also seemed to have him dumbfounded, was this possibly a creature from a laboratory like himself. He wasn't certain. His nostrils flared for a moment, unsure at how to feel about this creature, he tilted his head to the side not at all certain of how to respond to this. It - no, she had mooed yet it had some growl undertones, Kliment slowly approached letting out a few growls that were laced with faint chirps. Was she feral or did she actually speak? "WHO ARE YOU?" He finally spoke with his talons clicking on the ground, he lowered his gaze for a brief moment only to add with a toothy grin "WE ARE KLIMENT."

[div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 65%; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 10pt; text-align: justify;"]Jim has been in Tanglewood ... Abot a week, at most. And in that week, he has seen some very strange things. Like that black creature a while ago(who is presently here. Kliment.), among other smaller things. Strange in a way Jim isn't quite used to, and even at a higher rate than at home. But still nowhere near the top ten.
.. This being said, he has to do a bit of a double take at that strange moo. It sounds like a cow. A cow who swallowed gravel, maybe. And, as Jim trots closer, paws awkwardly sinking in the mud, he has to do another double take. A .. dragon-cow, potentially a cause of the earlier tremors, unless that was an earthquake. .. Okay, acceptable. She seems nervous, in any case, and Jim wasn't going to let a bit of strangeness put him off.
"Hey!" The wolfdog chimes with a grin as he trots closer yet, stopping somewhere in front of the hybrid. Fuck, she's so much bigger than him. So was Kliment. Yikes. "Uh. This is Tanglewood, what can we do for 'ya?" Sounds like a fast food place. Which, really, is the ideal for how to greet strangers, he thinks. If only for the humor. (the fact she looks like a cow was ironic, but unintentional.)

[align=center][div style="max-width: 420px; line-height:120%; font-family: arial; font-size: 8.5pt; text-align: justify; margin-bottom:5px"]Rendered blind – tearing of hands, touch of metal about the curve of bone, scrap of it echoing in the space of his skull, memory diluted but potent still, touching along the strands of idle thought – there was nought but darkness gathering were once dark had been the brown tone of eyes. Pull of claws, dragging along fabric grown ragged as the years had worked at it, pressing along skull and encasing it, hiding from all the emptiness left. Minimal was his own self conscious feeling towards it, the loss had been one made within a moment of weakness, the hunger for a power he bore no understanding of and had tasted for but brief second, but rather he proved fearful. Within many ways he was a coward, found the quiver of fear touching along his stomach and heart, curling until they piercing through and toned how he reacted to what was about him.

Within their work paws stilled, flick of rounded ears toned within shadings of black and white, straining to learn more of the odd sensation. Beneath him the earth had taken up a tremor, shifting his balance already precarious as it settled upon his back legs and hindquarters, slight for great was the distance separating him from what proved an oddity even amongst those here. For a time Eimi thought upon staying where he was, claws curling and tugging at the fabric, worrying further at holes slowly widening.

Though better of such action, drag of paws through the thick mud as weight shifted forward, lifting until slow was the pace set. Close was he to falling when the sudden sound arose, strange the mix of cattle but beneath the sound of predator, echoing and deep, lacing its edges until difficult was it to speak of what may produce such. Tap of tail along his leg, paw hovering above the sodden earth. Again he moved, allowed himself to focus upon only the beat of each paw as it touched upon the mud choked land, drawing him closer.

“H-hello...” Soft smile touched upon lips cracked where teeth had touched upon them, speaking to all for difficult was it to judge to whom the others spoke, grown quiet within the wake of inquiry offered.

She looked at Kliment and her ears perked. What.. an odd creature. She tilted her head to the side before coughing awkwardly and clearing her throat. "I'm.. I'm Amhika. I apologize, you just caught me off guard. You're different." At least she was upfront about her feelings and thoughts. There really was no point in lying. The hybrid then turned to look at the other two and smiled. "Hi! I don't know if you heard my name, but it's Amhika! And I'm here to join, if that's possible?"

[align=center][div style="max-width: 420px; line-height:120%; font-family: arial; font-size: 8.5pt; text-align: justify; margin-bottom:5px"]Within direct comparison to the strange mixing of sounds adorning her previous call gentle was the song of her voice, soothing the tone of it as it touched upon gently rounded ears. Up did chin tilt in some mock of eyes no longer present beneath the covering of thin fabric touching upon the other, strength within the curve of smile, a sweet little thing offering nothing more then warmth.

“I-it is a pleasure to m-meet you Amhika,” volume rose though still was the voice used soft, gentle a murmur of contentment curling about the broken structure of each word. “I'm sure t-that is okay.” Uncertainty touched about the edges of next words, his own inclusion amongst the few that had come to make of this place a home one that had passed with little hitch though he knew not the proceedings of this place still, new comer to it in various ways. “Oh, uh I-I'm Eimi.”

A sound resembling a moo would cause his ears to perk upward, the male sniffing at the air and approaching the noise cautiously. He keeps himself held low, as if about to go on a hunt, but something is throwing him off guard with that sound - there were growls mixed in with it. He is both interested in what could possibly make that sort of noise and whether he could eat it or not. A cow would make a good, refreshing meal. A delicious one, too. But cows do not let out growls, so this must be something else. He must investigate. He still keeps himself low, though, amber eyes peering out in front of him. Perhaps he could still eat it. At least, this is what he believes to be possible until he sees the thing.

The female is large. Much too large for the male to take down alone. Perhaps with others, he could, but he doubts by this interaction that the creatures living here will be interested in such a task. He will have to go hungry for now. He keeps a distance from the rest of the individuals, eyes flickering towards them cautiously. A low rumble is in his throat as he watches them, round ears pointed towards their conversation.
