THE CONCLAVE

— BEGINNINGS

The Conclave was founded by Matuah in 2018 due to his own values and devotion to bring others together so they may delve into a darker interpretation of the world and conduct research most would shun. The Conclave is dedicated to investigating the dead and all things otherworldly. This includes magic, a phenomena considered naturally occurring and a testament to their understanding of the universe. The Conclave does not seek out enemies or allies but beneficial relationships will never be turned down nor will the idea of striking against other groups for gain. Rather with reason or not.

— TERRITORY

OVERVIEW - The Conclave lives high upon the mountains where the air begins to become thin and poses a problem for those that are not used to some conditions. Because of the altitude often times there is a fog that rolls in and stays for most of the day, only dissipating during the late hours of the evening only to come back during the night. There in the Spectra forest lingers many different spirits from ghost to demons that live and wander among the territory. The only way into Conclave territory is at the other end of the valley that holds a narrow trail besides that of the Rose River.

THE UNIVERSITY - ☠ ☠
The place in which the Conclave takes up their living. It is a well respected camp that rests at the opposite end of their mountainous valley up against the left side of the large heaps of earth. There is no record or any sort of indication that would suggest why the university was build here in the valley but it has long since been abandoned by whomever had constructed it for their own uses. The building seems to almost be gothic in appearance with a mostly rectangular shape to it. White paint is chipped on the outside as well as some bricks but the building itself is sound. The courtyard is spacious with red brick lining the way to two bright green doors that are on the left and the right as the way into the university which leads into the Lobby and a large staircase for the next floor.

LOBBY - ☠
Walls almost dyed a golden brown with a floor to match is the first room that anyone will see when entering the campsite of the Conclave. It is the area of communion, where others seem to gravitate to to conversate and show their camaraderie towards one another. It is also here that most ceremonies take place upon the grate staircase with wrought iron railing that moves up to the second floor of the massive building. Where Applicants take on Pupils and paint their bodies to show their promise to teach and learn from one another.

LIBRARY - ☠
At the back of the University in a large dome like structure there exists a library. A library with such a culminating amount of knowledge and books of great literature that it takes of two floors. No book is spared here and the place is well kept because of the virtue and thirst for knowledge that the Conclave has. The place is always kept at the standards of a grand mansion with wooden floors polished and books kept in order. There are even more bookshelves that have yet to be filled with books and one day they shall be.

AUDITORIUM - ☠
A large and spacious place of hard wooden floors and many many volumes of areas to sit. Off to the side of the library sits the auditorium. It is often here that meetings are called and important matters are discussed. Nothing leaves these walls unless permitted by the Reaper themselves. Often times this place is left untouched for days or even perhaps so frequently used that the steps of many seem to always echo the halls. This place and also double as a training area should the need arise.

WEST AND EAST WINGS - ☠
These corridors are lined with blue but mostly white with paint peeling from the walls. It is a place of many rooms that houses most of the member base of the Conclave. The East and West wing does not have a distinction for home leaves in the rooms that they can personalize to their own liking. Both the normal and high position ranking mingle together and see no reason to separate themselves from one another.

— TRADITIONS

SLEEP'S DRINK - Newcomers that desire to join the Conclave as a sign of their dedication and initiation will have to drink a special mixture made by the Undertaker that will essentially slow down their heartbeat so much so that it mimics 'death' so that they may walk the Astral plane for the barest of moments and see Death. Death does not have a singular form and will look different to any one person. After this process they will come back and describe to the Reaper what they have seen.

BODY DECORATION - Often seen as distinction and camaraderie among members of the Conclave members often paint their bodies with patterns that will go with them throughout their lives. Often Applicants will paint their own pupils during the ceremonies to form a lasting bone of teacher and student. From children they start off with something simple, a simple marking and as they grow through the ranks of their home they change and become more and more complex. No two animals will have the same painted patterns upon their pelts.

FAMILIAR'S CHOSEN - An optional challenge is often given by the Reaper for members to seek their own familiars deep in the forest at a place called Dagda's Grotto. Though getting there is half the challenge as the leader does not disclose the location of this inspiring landmark. The path to a familiar can be isolating and it will be taxing on the individual and once they come to the grotto they must prick their paw or cut their flesh to bleed into the water and wait their for two days. It is not up to the summoner rather they will receive a familiar on their first try but up to the familiar on rather they choose them or not. Normal familiars are rather common and seem to be the easiest to acquire but there are Demonic familiars and Angelic familiars that require more than a bit of blood. A hefty price to make a deal.

The Conclave are a lawful evil group and fall between the lines of neutral and warbound. They prefer to understand and expand their knowledge of the Earth and it's keepers by any means necessary. They believe that life had necessary evils and do not have a fault in also participating in these necessary evils if it benefits themselves so shedding blood when necessary by their own means is not looked down upon.
