LEAVE HER, JOHNNY, LEAVE HER && open, joining - dead sons/daughters - 07-15-2018

"aaahoYYY THEREE!! IS THIS THE SUPPOSED LAND OF TRUE PIRATES?!" a voice had rung throughout the entrance of what he assumed to be the main entrance. that they can't believe that they actually had to go across this long strip of land for so long, that they've actually gotten their feet wet, and of course, their pelt in the sides wet with both water and the mud from going across the railroad tracks in a running motion. they had been panting by the time they reached the place they assumed to be the main entrance of where the supposed "pirates" lived. they had finally arrived in the place that they would call their permanent home, and they were overcome with much excitement as to meeting numerous mates that claim to be pirates alongside swashbuckler, who had traversed far and long to arrive to such a destination they call "The Typhoon".

shout as they might, swashie could not spot a single soul coming up to them, and being young as they are, swashie could not wait any longer- not after travelling a path that was half-sunken in water, forcing him to wade through that water and get his clean fur wet and dirty. frustrated and impatient, the black-furred feline would have absolutely trespassed the territory over the sake of joining, since they couldn't possibly wait for that long- could they? but just about they were about to engage in such a plan, he spotted the bells- bells that could surely reach further than their own voice would, if they were to combine it alongside their shouting. smirking, and eager, he used one paw to ring over the bells insistently, and yelled at the top of his lungs again.

"aaahoYYYYYYYYYYYY THEREE!! IS THIS THE SUPPOSED LAND OF TRUE PIRATES?!!!!" they inhaled and exhaled most of the air in his lungs with his screaming, ringing the bells insistently in an attempt to attract anyone who would take him to the land of pirates. In retrospect, it was a good plan, the best plan. At least, from what they thought at the time. Swashie would sooner get some pirate to alive, and he can finally join his people-

but that was, right until, hissing noises came from a basket, and what swashie thought were thick noodles came out, hissing loudly at him, striking rapidly. "farrgin' Davy Jones' locker! get away from me ye bastards! ye unholy devils!" they cried out, adrenaline rushing through his veins over the hissing vipers, growling and hissing back, and retreating a few steps forward. they were not ready for this- not they thought it was a pretty cool challenge for any lads and lassies that dare come and join with a pirate's crew. it was a life of danger, and they damn signed up for it, and therefore, danger was something swashbuckler was born for, especially in their wish as a life of a pirate. yet, here they were, and they lowered their expectations. loud mutters of cursing were words he directed to the thick noodley things with fangs, and despite the fear of losing their life before ever becoming a part of a true pirate's crew, they stood their ground. if they were not to be able to pass this, then definitely, they would never become the true pirate that they wish for.

Re: LEAVE HER, JOHNNY, LEAVE HER && open, joining - SOLVEIG - 07-15-2018

/Dear god I love him.

Obnoxious. It was first word Solveig had to describe the nuisance that was Swashbucker's shouting. Solveig had dealt with a fair amount of joiners, don't get her wrong, but none had taken to shouting at the top of their lungs across the island. It was grating on the ears and annoying on the mind, and the longer that he continued- over, and over! Yes, they got the point!- the more her annoyance began to grow, her tail lashing slightly as she began to pick her way through the territory towards the entrance.

And just as quickly, that annoyance faded from any line on her face, replaced by the soft, ginger smile that seemed to linger over her face, her features soft and gentle for the violet eyes on her face seemed to shine warmly at the smile. Her posture, too, relaxed, allowing her paws to drift gently across the sand as she made her way closer, near-silent as she watched the fool trying to charm their basket of snakes. Didn't he realize it was no good? Maybe not, though she did have to admit his string of curses was pretty amusing to listen to.

With a soft sigh she made her way forward and stopped some measure of feet away, her paws gathering beneath her as she sat quietly, a poreclain figurine amongst the backdrop of a green island, her chest slowly rising and falling with the idle breaths she drew in. He was certainly occupied by the snakes, wasn't he? His cursing kept on going after the poor beasts. "The Typhoon does harbor a number of pirates," Solveig would say, reaching out with her telepathy in an attempt to link his mind with her own, her lips not moving with the words as her voice would instead breach his mind, soft and honey-sweet. "However, we would appreciate, sir, if you would stop your shouting. What is your name? And what business do you have here?"

their shouting stopped abruptly at the soft, gentle voice that came out of nowhere. they whipped their head around, right until they found the almost ethereal figure of a feline- and damn, sirens are actually a real thing. still, that doesn't stop the fact that they're facing like, 10+ thick noodles that want to kill them and end their pirating ways abruptly. sparing a slight glance to the snowshoe feline, they spoke, still in the same loud tone, but not as loud as the curses they were spewing over to the noodles "er, uhm, excuse me, siren lass, but, i damn well fuckin know i don't have to shout, but that doesn't excuse the fact that i'm iN MORTAL DANGER WITH THESE NOODLE BASTARD DEVILS!" they shouted at the end of their sentence due to one danger noodle almost having gotten a bite of them- if not for their quick reflexes, they probably would have been in the ground, bitten to death by the live vines right until they're on the stairway to an unsure after life. now he didn't want that.

another quick glance at the feline, before turning back to the noodles, they said, in a loud tone "i definitely would appreciate if i got some, i don't know assISTANCE!" they dodged that strike of the creature, hissed back loudly "as, I was saying, assistance towards these- these unholy devils that won't fuckin leave me alone. since like, i am wanting to be a pirate, that kinda like supposedly resides here." they were beginning to doubt the idea that there would be actual pirates here, and only like, one siren taunting and scolding them for talking too loud. swash knew that the femme had said there were pirates, but as the stories say, sirens only lure you to death, and they didn't want their death- no siree. so for now, perhaps they can play this into their own advantage, and possibly, trick this said siren to help them overcome these noodles that blocked their path to the land of pirates that they so sought.

Re: LEAVE HER, JOHNNY, LEAVE HER && open, joining - SOLVEIG - 07-15-2018

'Noodle Bastard Devils'. Well, for one thing, Swash was certainly unique in his choice of curse words. In some manner, Solv could respect that. In another, his snapping and scolding made her inwardly tense as she dipped her head slowly. Also- Siren lass? That she could work with. Her head tilted softly as she watched his continued battle with the snakes. Was this terrible of her? Oh yes, absolutely. Did she care? Well, she couldn't quite say that she did. But as the snakes began taking more adventurous bites at their new pirate, the girl softly sighed, a gentle note that barely escaped from her lips as she rose up to her paws, gently stepping towards the man and the basket. As she began to near, crossing between the basket and Swash to ward the snakes from a bite at him, the vipers would start to retreat back into the basket simply at her presence.

"Enough time here, and you'll be a true 'pirate', sir," she said simply, ignoring most of what he had been shouting at her the last few minutes. "I do apologize for the snakes, but the darlings are simply doing what they were taught to do," she explained, smiling gently as she sat down quietly once more, her violet eyes idly wandering over Swash, taking in each little detail of his person in quick little glances. The way he stood, composed himself- though it was quite obvious already he was a loud and boisterous individual- looking for any little weak spots. "Welcome to the Typhoon, mister...? I take it you are here to join us?"

[align=center][div style="borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; width: 550px; padding-bottom: 17px; overflow: stretch; border-bottom: 2px dashed;"]”Oh, mercy.” Rochelle whispered to herself, jogging to the scene as fast as she could. It was ... quite the site to see. The yelling stranger going ballistic and Solveig there, too. She rounded up nearby the two, crouching lower to the ground. ”The snakes are meant to ward off strangers from ringing that bell.” Rochelle explained to them, amber eyes amusedly navigating between the retreating snakes and them. She had heard the ringing of the bells before she got here, and the sound inwardly made her cringe because she knew what to expect when she arrived, that being the snakes.

Rochelle glanced towards Solveig. ”What do you usually do to get these things to calm down? I’ve never seen this happen before.” The dark brown wolf asked, humor in her tone, keeping a trained gaze on the hissing “noodles” as Swashbuckler would call them. ”I would hope they’re here to stay, after all that trouble of getting here.” She huffed, straightening her posture to gaze at the stranger.

Re: LEAVE HER, JOHNNY, LEAVE HER && open, joining - dead sons/daughters - 07-15-2018

what they felt next was weird. like, really, really weird. they didn't know whether it was a good weird or a bad weird, but still, weird. somehow, despite their loud, booming voice, that had earned them a vicious scolding, alongside scalding looks from others from whence they came, she still was ever so calm and non-threatening, as if she were able to handle their behavior without much fuss. it was different. perhaps, a good different. they didn't really, know, but they haven't had a chance to ponder that, especially as they observed the danger noodles ( devils. they are devils. ) from retreating back into the basket, alongside a canine figure which they assumed to be a member of the pirate group they oh so sought out for so long, and came for a journey for.

after all is said and done, they realized he may have had their gaze lingering on the siren much more than they intended, and they immediately looked away, and swash felt heat rushing to their cheeks. what in the seven seas' name was wrong with themselves? they don't know, but now is not the time to dwell on that, not with the siren, and the canine now staring at them, awaiting for their words in response to theirs. they puffed their chest out more, arranged themselves. they were still a bit disheveled from the danger noodle incident, but they can brush that off pretty easily.

"swashbuckler. me- my name, is swashbuckler, and i sure ain't turning back after the long way down here. sure is like a pirate's dream, as of mine, for the danger that comes with a pirate's life." they didn't know how they were suddenly calm, solemn in their words and their intentions, that they spoke the truth of that. perhaps this was their intention to actually let to know they were here to stay, despite the short-comings that they had to encountering from those noodles.

"hope you don't mind me askin', but where exactly do ya'll reside? took yer lovely time to arrive here, really. not that i mind now, seeing as i still intend to be part of whatever crew of pirates reside round' these parts" slight pirate speech leaked into their normal english ones, and that was because they were excited- really looking forward to being a part of a pirate's life from here on out, from being so close to being amongst their own kind that their true passion leaked onto their own words. they hoped that they could settle soon, since they couldn't wait to participate in the pillages and the raids that came alongside a pirate's life.

Re: LEAVE HER, JOHNNY, LEAVE HER && open, joining - Keona. - 07-15-2018

✯ — female. striker of the typhoon. blind. rusty spotted cat. ref. bio.
Loud.  The tiny feline flicked her ears, a frown tugging on her maw.  That was a loud voice by the railroad gate.  She was not so sure she really liked it.  Granted, that was mostly due to a general dislike of the sudden.  The unexpected.  Sound that practically materialized out of nowhere had a way of startling and, though she won't admit it, scaring her.  Antsy and irked, Keona still followed the sound, tail flicking.

It took a little time, due to her much smaller stature, but the Striker arrived a little behind her crewmates.  Neither we're particularly familiar and she bounced on her paws restlessly.  Swashbuckler. What a strange name.

Her pale sea-green eyes flickered as she followed the sound of his voice - with no difficulty - and made the proper adjustment to the angle of her head.  "On the bay... In the jungle... We have a ship too." The half-Irish accent slid out of her jaws softly, though she did make an effort. They'd hear her at least.  She offered a small, shy smile,  "'m Keona. Welcome to the Typhoon."

at the foreign voice, they immediately turned toward the feline that had said it- found it to be coming from what appeared to be a young kitten. they couldn't help but smile at that, looking back at her own eyes, a fond smile gracing their maw. they couldn't really help it- not with his fondness for younglings that exist, even within the crew, it seems. "ah, sounds like a nice place to reside in, with that." their eyes glittered at the thought of a ship. an actual ship for them pirates. they wonder if there is seperate housing alongside that too, since one ship alone cannot accomodate pirates joining in and out, after all.

after that, they turned back to the siren, and the canine, speaking, since somehow, they have a feeling that isn't all over, yet "so, there anymore hurdles i gotta go pass through, before i may be able to live with the pirate crew?" it was a good question- something that should be the test of if they're worthy enough to be a pirate. swashie is sure that they definitely are worthy to be a pirate- after all the shit they've been through in wanting to be a part of a pirate crew.

Re: LEAVE HER, JOHNNY, LEAVE HER && open, joining - CAESAR CIPHER. - 07-15-2018

IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE TYPHOON. OFFICER.
"There is an entrance ritual." Caesar replied to Swashbuckler's question as he made his way over, having seen a massive amount of people come over to this specific area. There was a mischievous grin on his maw as he mentioned the entrance ritual, mostly because of his own experience with it. "I take it you're joining, then? Welcome. My name's Officer Caesar Cipher." Might as well get his introduction over with.
