IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU GIRL | o, party - ROXANNE R. - 07-14-2018 Roxie was quite happy at her find in the morning, her tegu egg had finally hatched and well, she was the most darling lil lizard she had ever seen. Rox would hold her near only to place little pecks on the albino tegu's face before she would be gentle in holding the little one close to her as she tilted her head trying to figure out a name for the lil girl "Lorelei! Your name will be Lorelei," She held up the Argentine black and white tegu in her arms before she would place her down on her bed only to hear a loud rumbling sound from outside, she would peek outside to see that it was Kalayavan and well, he apparently smelt the new arrival because he tried putting his large snout through the door but she would push it back or at least attempt to "Kal, no, sweetie! Stay outside for right now, honey." The crocodile seemed dead set on seeing but he would move back with a frustrated growl only to lay back near the door, the horned Siamese would then rummage through her things looking for the proper things that she needed. She originally was going to use it on her own birthday but hey, who'd even come to her shitty party? She began to work hearing the tegu moving around on her bed so she came near to let Lore crawl onto her head, where Kal would once do, before she continued with what she had planned. She remembered what Rosemary said about tegus being omnivores so she found the best things for Lore, she began by making a small frozen treat that was supposed to be like a cake which she put strawberries, mealworms, some sliced vegetables, and tiny berries. She figured this would be the easiest type of cake besides, she didn't want to end up giving Lore some shitty cake on her first ever birthday!
She managed to get a few NPCs to set up a single large table for her, where she set down the frozen cake that was for Lorelei, who she put a small paper hat on since the actual hats were much too big for the tiny lizard. Roxanne felt happy that she was doing something festive despite the shit she had recently gone through. She saw in point in being sad or too emotional, the horned Siamese would place the lizard on a stool so Lore was basically the highlight of the party and she would make sure the party was in the shade so it didn't hurt Lore's still delicate skin especially since she was an albino and all. Kalayavan eventually lumbered over with his eyes trained onto Lore, Rox recalled how the letter said that crocodiles and tegus weren't exactly buddy buddy with one another but she just hoped that Kal would make an exception for Lorelei "I'm gonna make a party for you and your sister, Kal!" She finally piped out watching how Kal continued to stare at Lore, she felt slightly tense yet he seemed to relax slightly. If he had charged well, she would have been crushed he had been growing big ever since she had fed him that Tanglewood bovine, it was odd. Really odd, he was medium sized at first but now he was growing at a surprising rate and well, he definitely did a better job at warding off anyone from Roxanne nowadays. First, people would have laughed at a tiny crocodile hissing at them, except Greed who had gotten bit and chased by this blood thirsty killer, and were warded off by said man friend but now. . . Now, it was certainly different. She felt happy that Lore would be smaller than Kal and easier to lug around or hug. Once she had everything set up to her liking, she would place a hat on Kalayavan with a sickly, sweet smile on her maw clearly proud of how her kids looked. She had put a lil bowtie on Kal and she would wave a paw at him in a scolding voice yet she did it all cooing at him "Now, you be good! I don't want you chasing anyone away, that means no chasing away Greed or Slys. . . Alright, Kalayavan Roux?" She squinted at the salt water crocodile who looked defiant and angry for a moment only to let out a huffy hiss, he eventually lumbered over close to where Lore was sitting. Lore had no clue what was happening but she was certainly curious of all these things, she had started doing a bobbing little dance. Great. The cake that looked like a cow, for Kal, and Lore's "cake" was already out. Roxanne was quite pleased with her work, she had also dolled herself quite a bit too by wearing a perfect pink bow and having curled her fur a bit. A true diva. Who just so happened to be a mom. "character's speech." Re: IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU GIRL | o, party - ROSEMARY - 07-14-2018 [align=center]
With all the smells from the reptiles' cakes, Rosemary simply needed to investigate - after all, she wanted the excuse. Roxanne and her seemed to miss each other all the time, with the last real conversation between them taking place before Roxanne's supposed 'death.' This little party seemed a good little opportunity to deal with that, as well as check up on the tegu; both of them seemed to enjoy their mutual presents, seeing as Rosemary wore the bracelet her adopted sister gave her around her own neck today.
"Wow, the little guy did hatch into an albino - congratulations!" the ocelot cooed, her tone holding a warmer note than usual. Well, warmer compared to Rosemary's standards; her emotional expression still seemed stunted, though she supposed her family got used to her odd ways by now. One eye glanced at Kal, though, as she second-guessed how long it'd been since she'd seen him. The hell caused him to get so big? Jacob was trying really hard to get to know all his new clanmates. He had to admit, it was a little overwhelming given how many of them there were. At least it made it a little easier that he'd known a lot of them before even coming, although there were still a few that he didn't know for whatever reason. A lot of the people he didn't know, it was simply because they were relatively new members or hadn't interacted with Snowbound in the past for whatever reason. There were a lot that he knew by name but didn't know particularly well. However, Roxie was not one of those people. He hadn't expected to bond with her very much but he'd really come to like the woman during his time here and when he heard she was throwing a party for her reptilian children, of course he intended to come. Then he thought that it might be rude to show up without a present for them so he'd stayed home as soon as he heard about it and began sewing them both blankets. He knew Kal was getting pretty big, from what he'd heard, so he tried to make a pretty big blanket. He wasn't sure what colors they'd like but he knew for baby showers in the city, blue and green was usually for boys, while pink and purple was for girls., but he wasn't sure if the new baby was a girl. Well, someone was getting a pink blanket, anyway, given how much material he had left after making a pink sweater for himself. He also knew that the new baby, whatever it was, was probably pretty small so he made it's quite a bit smaller.
Still, after all his work was done, he had one smaller pink and purple patterned blankets, and one blue and green one. He then put them in separate bags with tissue paper to cover up what was inside and made his way to the party. Upon his arrival, he gave a wide smile to both Rosemary and Roxie. "Hi ya'll! Oh wow, Roxie, 's tha' your new li'l girl? N' Kal's gettin' so big!" So, so big. Jacob wasn't sure why he was growing that fast, but he had to admit it was a little alarming. He wouldn't bring that up now, though. He came here to have a good time, not to worry Raxanne about the health of her reptiles. Besides, Jacob didn't know much about reptiles anyway so he couldn't be the one to bring up there was some sort of issue. He did feel as though he should start reading more about them, though, now that Roxie had two and he was pretty sure Solveig would have at least one. "Also, I know it ain't exactly a birthday party but I thought it was close enough n' so I brought 'em some presents. I dunno' if they'll really use 'em but, if not ya' can always find somethin' else ta' do with it," he spoke, pushing the bags towards Roxie. the heavy weight of stone |
