been all the way to broken ✦ joining - raziel - 07-03-2018 It was unfortunate, but a simple matter of fact, that Raziel had a target on his back. That's what happened when one's entire world got tipped on its side; when the king and queen get killed and a war breaks out. It was untellable just how ago that was, but it remained the world he lived in. Even worse, his younger brothers had gone down the path of piracy not soon after, which only served to complete matters more. More than once, the target had been one aimed at him by one of the said brothers. Séamus, generally.
Raziel's guess; said target (by said brother) was the reason for the series of events that left him where he was presently; sprawled in the sand of an unknown place, surrounded by the pieces of a small, wooden boat. Could've been worse of course, but now the faerie did not know where he was. Not to mention he had no backup. With a sad sigh, the bruised and battered rusty spotted cat sat up, wincing as he realized his leg might be broken. All he had wanted to do was visit his children. He could only imagine how big they had gotten, especially the triplets. Even little Suvi, who had been so tiny last he'd seen her. The feline grit his teeth, ears flattening, and slowly rose to his feet. I'm sorry, he muses, staring off into the jungle ahead of him. He'll have to find a way to send a message or something. Antsy, he glanced behind him, narrowing a pair of old sea-green eyes on the ocean. The crash was a fuzzy memory now; he hadn't gotten in the little boat on his own free will no, he'd been shoved on board by one of his companions when the main ship had been damaged. Must've been quite a storm. No hope of finding them then, he supposes, hoping that everyone was okay, but resigning himself to accept he may never know. It had been kind of them to offer him passage across the ocean after all. Determined, Raziel took a step, then promptly stumbled. Damn. That hurt. Maybe there were people out here. Friendly people, hopefully. Nonetheless, he wasn't going to make good progress until he did something about his leg. This is certainly inconvient. — ✦ —

[color=#00688b]”Did you come from the ocean too?” The chipper voice was accompanied by an obsidian figure, a grin dancing upon darkly hued lips as she trotted towards the newcomer with obvious intrigue. Her orca-esque tail trailed in the sand behind her as she danced around and inspected Raziel, trying her best to understand his origins. She wasn’t fully settled in the Typhoon but, despite the circumstances of her abrupt arrival, appeared to be relatively happy to be in a new pod. A vastly different pod. Black ears perked and the tiny feline would attempt to gently touch him with a paw. [color=#00688b]”You don’t look like a fish... even if you were, I wouldn’t eat you,” She observed lightly, chocolate-hued eyes falling upon the shards of wood scattered around him. And oh! He appeared to be that new word she learned! What was it again? Hurt! Yes, that was it! That or very, very exhausted, she really didn’t know. The world was an overwhelming place just as much as it was an amazing place. There was so much for her to see, to do, to talk to. She hardly registered that her behavior was far from appropriate in the face of this newcomer. Smiling widely, the child curled her large tail around her figure and rested her tiny front paws and chin on it, patiently waiting for a response. Re: been all the way to broken ✦ joining - Kian. - 07-04-2018 KIAN Ó FAOLÁIN So bring on all the monsters, That lie sleeping in the blue I'll fight 'em all bare handed, Screaming I ain't scared of you Kian blinked once or twice, or perhaps even five or six times. Hard to mistake a member of the Faolain clan; not just because they were all tiny-ass rusty spotted cats, but they all generally looked alike. Nonetheless, Raziel was the last person the former captain would expect to simply spot on the beach and he had to take a moment or two to simply process who he was looking at. It was definitely Raziel. I must've eaten or drank something... Frowning, the younger Faolain bounded over, peering intently at the other feline, almost getting nose-to-nose with him, brows creased. "Raz?" Kian tried to remember the last time he had seen his older brother; a long time. Generally, he did his best to stay out of his way; it was the least he could do after everything went to shit. Besides, he had his own things to deal with, and Raziel had not been one of them. That being said, Kian was rather fond of his older brother; the two would've been closer, he thinks, if the other had actually bothered to pay attention to him more than his books. Finally, he just chuckled, sea-green eyes dancing. "Not a fish, kid," he shook his head in hopeless exasperation, still bewildered at the arrival of Raziel out of all people. "My brother." Kian would have to inform Seamus before his twin did something rash; the two didn't exactly get along after all. "An bhfuil tú ceart go leor?" One glance around told Kian all he needed to know about the circumstances of his brother's arrival, and that it didn't exactly go well. typhoon | rusty spotted cat | #faesquad | ✘ © madi
Re: been all the way to broken ✦ joining - CAESAR CIPHER. - 07-04-2018 IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE TYPHOON. OFFICER.
Caesar happened to arrive in time to hear Kian said that he had a brother, and the Officer let out a snort at that. "Oh, fuck me and call me a monkey's uncle." The demon grumbled as he stood a few paces behind Kian, studying the stranger Kian claimed was related to him. "You have a brother? Wonderful, I get to deal with more of you." Or people related to him, that was. Caesar rolled his eyes, clearly unhappy that Raziel - though he didn't know his name - was here. Re: been all the way to broken ✦ joining - Keona. - 07-04-2018 "Da?" Keona slowly trotted up behind her father, confusion gleaming in her pale eyes. The tiny kitten knew her father had a brother, but that was Uncle Sea... Did he really have another one? Were they twins too? No, that didn't sound right. She frowned, tapping her father's paw gently with her own, looking for an answer.
Being the only child she was, Keona found it a little bewildering that another uncle was showing up. Just the one had confused her. Now there was two. Was her father's family really larger than she had thought it was? For so long, it had just been the two of them. Of course, logically, she knew that her father must've had parents of his own at one point, and that meant siblings had always been a possibility but until Seamus she had not considered it, and she certainly had not considered the number of siblings being higher than one. She huffed, her own eyes rolling sharply at Caesar's all to annoying attitude. "Nobody's asking you to deal with anyone," she muttered, voice flat. Of course, it'd be just like the demon to act so rudely at the reunion of family. Weren't those supposed to be happy occasions anyway? Keona didn't remember her father being all to excited to see Uncle Sea, but he didn't seem to mind this new uncle at all. Weird. Perhaps he was closer to this brother, or just trusted him more, anyway. A tad shyer, the fae crept up a little closer to Raziel, curious. "You're also da's brother?" code by spacexual Re: been all the way to broken ✦ joining - raziel - 07-07-2018 From the ocean too? How fascinating. The fae blinked, cocking his head lightly as he regarded the young feline in front of him. Ah yes, he could see the signs of ocean-life in her; she was not even fully a cat, was she? She had the markings of something unique, a hybrid of some kind. Interesting. Raziel chuckled softly, hoping he did not sound too terribly tired, but the days had been wearing on him.
"I appreciate your lack of appetite then, young one." Turned out though, he did not have to explain that he was not a fish. Raziel backed up slightly, more startled than alarmed as one of his younger brothers made his - somewhat up close and personal - appearance. So this is where the wayward pirate captain had retired to. Seemed nice enough; he still had to wonder why he settled, however. He quirked his lips up wryly. "I've had worse, Kian." Granted, he hoped there was a doctor somewhere around these parts to make sure. Turned out there certainly was a population. The older Faolain glanced at the demon that followed his brother, frowning lightly. Considering that he knew Kian as a pirate, Raziel supposed the language was only to be expected. He didn't particularly care whether or not the stranger was pleased with his presence; it made little difference to him. He was here, that was that. It was the smaller voice of a child that truly caught him off-guard. His head swiveled back to Kian, brain rapidly trying to recall just how long it's been and the all too likely that of course, Kian could've managed to start a family since they lost saw each other. Raziel after all, had five children of his own, though two of them were nearly fully grown. The child in front of him was young. Still just a kitten. The faerie's eyes softened, before narrowing as he registered the word 'also'. Raziel breathed in quietly through his nose, before smiling gently, "don't mind him love; Kian's certainly an act to keep up with," he teased as she grumbled in response to the nearby demon. "No need to waste your energy on being upset with someone else." "I suppose this means the twins are back together?" He inquired, rising a brow towards Kian. Last he had heard, the two had been something of a pair of rivals. Well, whatever the case, Raziel supposed he had to be ready to run into the other twin at some point. He turned back to his newfound niece, studying her eyes for a moment before addressing her once more, "do you have a name, little one? I'm your uncle Raziel; your father's older brother, it's very nice to meet you." — ✦ —

[W]iskerDOES THE BLANK STARE- SCARE YOU MORE THAN THE FROWN? [div style="background-color:#BG COLOR;width:90%; overflow: stretch;text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt;color: #E0EEEE;"] Of the many times people had gathered to claim relation to her clanmates- it did not ease the sense of discomfort in the Officer- if anything the feeling worsened with each new face and familiar last name. Each marked similarity as she silently couldn't help but drawl parallels between near strangers and less strangers. Watched as History told itself in the way families danced around each other. Fimulararity and hesitancy sparking in eyes and the officer's own gaze growing colder and colder until she had to look away. Envy was too nasty of a word to call the bone deep chill that gripped the hollow center of the beast. Too nasty and too kind.
Argus remebers when Keona and Kian both stepped onto the beach- pushing a small little boat back out to shore as they welcomed the land and The typhoon with hesitancy of a parent once burned and a child unable to truly see it's wonder. Remembers marveling at how smal the both of them were- and how tender footed the officer was at first when approaching. Soft and kind while her insides took a brittle edge. The feeling flashed back into her focus now- watching the newer member of the faolain family. It got easier to pretend that nothing was amiss within the people already gathering the attention of the newest member. Dull red eyes seemingly zeroed in on the family in a duller shade, smile on her face tired but sincere. "I assume your staying then Raziel?" Argus offered as her own greeting, gentle. He could barely believe his eyes. With a smirk, the remaining Faoláin brother appeared on scene, attempting to rush his older brother in an embrace, his own sea-green eyes dancing with something mischievous. "Long time no see, mo rí." A slight frown tugged his maw as he stepped back, brows creasing in thought. Now that he noticed all the wreckage, he had to wonder if this his doing in some manner; he had left his crew, but it was not like that meant they weren't still up to the same kind of trouble they'd been when he'd been there. It would, if anything, disappoint him if they had left that kind of fun behind. Even if it was his fault, it was not like Raziel was dead. He'd had worse. At Seamus' own paws even. "Looks like you had quite the trip. Are you planning on staying?" The younger brother quirked his lips back up, a delighted grin beginning to spread across his face. Oh it would be too much fun having Raziel here. Re: been all the way to broken ✦ joining - raziel - 07-11-2018 Raziel blinked, suddenly all too self-conscious. He'd been the center of attention most of his life, although it was clear to many who knew him well that he belonged in a book. The excitement of reuniting with Kian and meeting his niece for the first time began to fade, replaced with anticipation. This was a group of pirates. Pirates.
They did not seem bad, however, with perhaps one exception but there was always someone with a nasty or bitter attitude. The fee breathed in slowly through his nose. He did not have much of a choice in the matter really; he had to stay, at least, while his leg healed. His brother - and niece perhaps - would probably appreciate it, if he stayed. It would give them time to spend together, as a family... His was still waiting however. Raziel closed his eyes, sending a quiet prayer for the five he'd been on the way to visit. They would be fine; he could visit when he was back on his feet, and knew more about his geographic location. With a tired, but happy, more-at-peace smile, he raised his head back to the wolf, "if it is not a bo-" The feline let out a soft grunt at the impact of another sibling, feeling all of his muscles tense instinctively. "Sea." How many times had the mischievous twin barreled into him when they were younger? Raziel could still remember his younger brother years and years ago; intelligent eyes locked on him as he droned on and on about their history and science. He could still recall his fond smile as he worked something out on his own in his studies. At some point in their lives, that smile turned sour when it was turned Raziel's way. Something dark and dangerous replaced the bright light in his little brother's eyes. He missed him. "Don't call me that," he murmured, a frown threatening to push down his smile. "You never cared much for authority anyhow, Seamus." Despite the light and airy tone, Raziel was anxious. He didn't like that smile. He had a bad feeling, as he always did with Seamus. "I'm not sure how much use I'll be," hopefully, he'd fine some way to contribute to a group of pirates, "but I would happy to stay." — ✦ —
Re: been all the way to broken ✦ joining - PINCHER - 07-14-2018 Family was always a good thing to have wherever you were. Not just one made out of biological blood but any kind of comfort one could find in the hardships of life. He had at first had a tiny family in the very beginning of his residency within the rich tropical island's territory, Goldenluxury and Coldblue being the first parts of his new family. He had struggled in settling into the idea of having to take care of children, his mindset scarred by the loss of his first borns when he had not been able to be there for them when they needed him the most. It had led the canine to lock himself away briefly from Guru's and his children, worried that fate would play a wicked game with him once again just to mock him. But then he began to grow close to his daughter, Goldie. Her warmth and kindness managed to melt his ice covered heart and Pincher began to contribute more time to Goldie. Coldblue was a struggle to connect to but he still desired to grow close to his son despite the obvious awkward tension between them for he knew Coldblue was one to hold a grudge, so much like his father and yet so different. At the moment that everyone was surrounding a new rusty-spotted feline into the crew, the broad-shouldered captain was stepping lightly over the sloping hills of sand that at times held patches of long golden dry grass that softly waved and danced in the summer breeze as the obsidian doberman was heading to check on the main border when he heard the commotion that was near where he was. He slowly turned away from his destination, noticing that his crewmates were surrounding a stranger that he could not see due to the crowding. Curious, the towering demigod arrived with piercing unfaltering icy blue eyes as the male slipped to the side of Argus, glancing briefly at his quartermaster when he noticed the slight aura of unease that surrounded her but he decided not to say anything about it. Instead, Pincher snapped his gaze onto Raziel, tipping his head down to be able to see the smaller male face to face as Pincher allowed a faint low chuckle to rumble in his throat as he heard the last statement that Raziel had made. "Oh trust me, mate - we'll find a use for ya. If you're gonna live here, you gotta contribute. Name's Pincher, I'm the captain of the Typhoon." He replied with a small nod of formality.
